Our history We published Game Mag for more than two years, but only the during the last three issues have we had Game Mag Online up on the WWW. Our main focus has been our print magazine, Game Mag, which was published monthly until issue 23. At that time it became bimonthly due to the fact that our editors did, indeed, have lives. Putting our reviews and articles up on the Internet meant exposure to a larger audience. Issue 29 was the last issue of the paper version of Game Mag. New issues are no longer published. How we're different than other videogame sites on the Internet We don't write Game Mag because it's our jobs. We're honest-to-goodness diehard videogamers, and we publish Game Mag as a hobby. We make no profit whatsoever, but that's not our goal. We're simply looking for exposure to as many readers as possible. You can be sure that our reviews are written by true gaming enthusiasts, not a group of guys out to make their buck in the business. Since we get such small compensation for our work, however, we also can't put forth the effort and time that some publishing companies pay to have done. Printing and mailing issues of Game Mag (the print version) wasn't cheap, and we therefor could not send out free copies to new readers. We sold issues for as low as $1.50 each, but it hardly allowed us to break even. Because of these limitations, we won't have much of a news section, because there is no way that we can ever compete with other videogame web sites in this area. We have actual jobs that we must perform daily, and can't spend our full day updating Game Mag Online. Don't we all wish?
