Two as One

I feel the pain, see the hurt in your eyes,
But we must forgive, for the sake of our lives.
Many things have you witnessed, which my own sight has not,
But we must forgive, for the love we have brought.
Your duties you hold dear, defending your Queen and your land,
But we must forgive, and hold on to each others hand.
The hatred, the torture, the memories of each tragic day,
We must forgive and forget, and in the others arms stay.
