Battletech

I have played Battletech for many years, and GM'ed for quite a few also. Over the years, I have seen some unique variations of mechs, which I would like to share. If you are interested in learning about Battletech™, check out the CGL's site, the curent caretakers of the Classical Battletech game and universe.

Our campaign is currently set in the year 3055. The clans have been stopped, and the trouble with the Federated Commonwealth has not yet started.

One of the best things about my campaigns is I allow each and every mech to be customised. You can stick more weapons in, or pull some out and put in a bigger engine, or more armor. I use MechWarrior™ characters for Mech and Vehicle pilots, and your unit must have a Tech with the "Engeneering" skill to make modifications.

I like to use Mercenary units in my campaign. This gives greater freedom to the player in choosing what to do and where to do it. My current group does only a little Role-Playing, but we blow a lot if $hit up, so I don't mind.

Below are some modified 'Mechs that have originated in my campaigns. They were created or modified using MechWorks, wich I picked up as freeware. You can pick up other mech designers from FASA, or one of the many other Battletech sites.

I have started a new game with my Wife Tina, and I'm gonna put that on it's own page. Check out The Crossfire Commando's!
