Humor in play

Some of the most amusing things happen when we play, but for the most part it's forgotten before the next play session. This page is an attempt to keep that continuity flow, and since most of my players don't keep good notes during play, I'll try to put things down here.

Night 1:
The first night was Friday, April 19th(?) 1996. The party had been presented to the Prince of the City, Victoria Wilson, on the same night. Because of the Prince's ritual "demand of service" she knew that the Toreador Claudia and the Malkavian Chakan were going to be presented. The arrival of the Assamite (ERIC) was a bit of a suprise, but she lumped him in with the other two as an added bonus.
She had the three each go to the local nightclub "Limbo" where they were brought together for the first time by Lucinda Washington, a minor Ventrue that works for the Prince. They were given their mission, and introduced to one of the club owners, Brujah Michael Crawford, at that time. Michael seemed put out by Lucinda's presence, but accepted it with more aplomb than usual for a brujah. The others he also accepted, grudgingly it seemed.
The characters were told to call Lucinda each evening to report on their investigation. The three proceeded to party with Michael and his band, one by one dropping out and heading home.

Night 2: Saturday, April 20th.
The three awaken, each in their own lair. Chakah heads towards the Michigan Underground, where his junkie-contact lives. The guy knows nothing about the Tremere (or even really most vampire clans but the Malkavian's and the Nosferatu) but Chakah hooks him up with a ten-spot anyhow.
Meanwhile, Claudia wakes and finds out about a party at Annabelle's. She goes to Limbo again, mingling with the crowd and dancing hours away. After Hell is Waiting departed the stage for the final time, she heads back to Annabelle's and meets up with the other two.
While the others waste the hours of the night, "Bob" goes straight to work, after a fasion. He travels directly to Limbo, trying to get an audience with Michael. He has to wait several hours to do this, but finally he get's to talk to Michael. Michael continues to address him as a "wanna-be", but the Assamite promises a 'favor' for information. Michael is quick to snatch up this unexpected boon, dribbling what little information on the subject over. This does not tell much, but it is at this time that he remembers that he does not have to infiltrate the clan. He has but to obtain knowledge. Bob is further informed of the presence of Shawn Finn in the city. Shawn is an arms/ammo dealer who offers many types of ammunition.
The Assamite exits the club, only to see one of his clan-mates hiding in the shadows, holding a sword. Bob travels quickly to his side, hearing oncoming "enemies". The other Assamite tells Bob that he might need vengance soon, and the four oncoming Brujah-antitribu engage the two in combat. Swarming Bob four on one, the quickly knock him unconcious and make off with the new Assamite. Bob wakes to find his clan-mate gone, but his sword behind. He finds quickly the vial of vite, and puts the info in the back of his mind. He connects with the Malkavian at this point, and the two meet behind Limbo. They order chineese ("Me watch much John Wayne! Do you feel lucky, Pilgrim?") and Bob regains some of his strength, learning once again the horror that is a vampire as he kills his victim. He puts $40 in his pocket, while the Malkavian robs $16.52 from the body. The tension is growing between the kook and the killer.
Departing Limbo in Michael's Mustang, they arrive quickly at the address of Shawn. After spending most of his money, Bob is more fully armed. Maybe the new gun will work better than the glocks have been so far.
The two pay a quick visit to Chaka's junkie/informant, hearing again about the Nosferatu. Chaka's driving may have seriously damaged the transmission in Michael's Mustang Cobra. They arrive at Annabelles party, the three are reunited once again.
Of course, they're reunited just in time for Michael to publicly insult Claudia, calling her a "poser" in front of most of the city Toreador. Claudia has informed Annabelle that she will be challenging Michael to a musical duel, to avange her insult. It is rare for a non-Toreador to accept this challenge, but Michael will.

The second evenings play stopped here. I will add to it as we go along. The time is 2AM on Sunday, April 21st.
