When you are adult Link, and you have won Epona, you have to complete Malon's obsacle course. If you do so successfuly, your prize will be your very own Lon Lon cow. Unfortuantely, it is not portable, so it will remain in your childhood home, that's right, the Kokiri Forest. It will be in your treehouse.

Go to Lon Lon Ranch. Walk up to Ingo, and ask to ride the horses. You have to pay ten rupees, but you have to do this. When you are in, play Epona's Song. Epona will come directly to you. Get on her and talk to Ingo. He ask you to race. If you beathim, you will have to rematch him. But if you beat him again, you can have Epona, but (being the bad sport he is) will shut the gates and lock you in. A monumental problem has arose. You can't get out!!! But is there a way? Yes, there is!!! Walk around the perimeter of the Ranch, and you will eventually see a solid, spiked topped wall. You have to jump over it with Epona. It may take you a few try's but, your persistence will pay off. Once you are over the wall, Epona is yours. And every time you play Epona'a Song in Hyrule Field, Epona will come running to you
