    Responsibilities of Squadron Commander
  • Verification and maintenance of squad members' email and other particulars.
  • Notify all squad members of meeting dates and venue.
  • Note the absence of any squad members from meetings and notify the Executive Council when the member is absent for 2 consecutive meetings.
  • Conduct training for your squad.
  • Report promotions, demotions and appointments within your squadron to the Executive Council.
  • Report of members who are behaving contrary to The Code and to the detriment of SWSC.
  • Report battle results to the Executive Council after squad mission.
  • Report mission results when you are designated as Mission Observer
  • Attend Executive Council meetings when invited (compulsory).
  • Report your squadron meetings on Pilot's Lounge at least 2 days in advance before the meeting can be considered 'Official'. Only official meetings are eligible for awarding of RPs.
  • Act as Referee for prospective new members. You are responsible to ascertain that the new member has the game XvT and that there are no reasons to believe that he/she will not be an active member. When you are satisfied that the criteria is fulfilled, you may then give him/her your unique Reference Code. These 2 elements have to be input into the application form before it is being processed. (This process will ensure that no time is wasted in processing members who are not going to be active.) New SCs please contact the Grand Admiral for your Reference Code.
  • To act and perform in accordance to the policy legislated by the Executive Council.

    Power of Squadron Commander
  • Appointment of Squadron Executive Officer (XO).
  • Promotion of squad member(s) up to the rank of Flight Officer according to SWSC's Promotion Guidelines.
  • Demotion of squad member(s) down to the rank of Cadet Trainee according to SWSC's Promotion Guidelines.
  • Power to issue warnings to SWSC member(s)(excluding Staff Officers) who behaved contrary to the good name of SWSC (The Commander is required to report such warning to the Executive Council after the event).
  • Posses all the power over squad members that is required in the achievement of optimal squadron administrative and combat function.

    Obligations of Squadron Commander
    As a Field Commander of SWSC, you have the obligation to fulfill the followings to your best ability, although these are not compulsary.
  • Maintenace of your Squadron Homepage. The minimal information that should be included are your pilots' particulars (such as rank, battle records, wins, loss, email, ICQ), squadron noticeboard, squadron missions and performance, and meetings.

Mission Observer:
Any Staff Officer may be appointed by default (ie in absence of other more senior SWSC Staff Officers) or by higher command (such as Fleet or Executive Council) as Mission Observer to witness engagements or missions by SWSC pilots. The observer will report to the Executive Council of any such encounters, their results and to provide the objective judgement when disagreements arises.

Warnings:
Warnings may be issued by Staff Officers to SWSC pilots who had behaved contrary to the good name of SWSC and against The Code. These warnings must be issued on the spot and the accused being told that he/she is being given a 'Warning'. Any such warnings given are considered 'Official', meaning that it will go on record and be considered in future promotion of the pilot. As such, all such warnings should be reported to the Executive Council and the accused pilot can reply to it after being notified by EC. Password must be included when making such submission to EC.
