During the game, press Start to get to the in-game options menu. Once there, hold down L1 and L2 for ten seconds.

Keep holding these buttons and press the sequences below to get the listed effects. The items will appear as extra options in the menu. Simply highlight the desired effect by pressing Up or Down and then press Start.

Ammo -- Down, Right, O, Left, Right, O.

Health -- Right, Right, Left, Down, Down, Up, T, O

Level select -- Up, Right, Down, Left, T, O, X, S, X, T, S, O

Level skip -- X, R1, T, R1, S, O, R2, R2, X, S, T, X

Lives -- Left, Down, Right, T, S, X, O

Power -- Right, Down, Right, T

Smart -- R1, R2, X, T, S, O, R1, R2, O, O, S
