Formed by a merger between the planets two largest technology development companies. Teckorion Industries, and Suniro Corporations. Teck-Sun Labs is the worlds authority in breakthrough systems, as well as being a leader at refining old and outdated ones. One of the two main labs is located in the capitol of Kralazon, with another in the neighboring country of Rhalzek, with hundreds of smaller branch labs worldwide. Many of the worlds best and reliable systems, from computers to Video Disk players have at least a few components developed by Teck-Sun.
One of the most recent, and popular systems created by Teck-Sun is the worlds first truly fully interactive virtual reality system. Users are surrounded by a sphere that essentially makes them weightless by using the same technology used in the hover disks, only on a small area effecting scale. Special goggles are worn, and the program is transmitted in. The weightlessness allows for full interaction with the virtual environment without having limbs contact with anything that isn't within the program. The platform is roughly 6 ft. in diameter, so it is too large to fit in the average home, not to mention expensive. At least one VR-system can be found in most of the arcades planet wide, with the arcade located in Trinity Park and other larger arcades boasting multiple setups. People who have the cybernetic Headjack implant have an added bonus, with certain parts of the VR-programs able to be pumped directly into the brain through the jack. This system is far from perfect, and upgrades are constantly in production at Teck-Sun.
The most recent development of Teck-Sun was at the request of the military for an improved rail gun system. The result was the Gauss gun. Essentially a smaller, but equally powerfull silenced rail gun. The Gauss Gun utilizes the same electromagnetic field in regular rail guns to accelerate four inch MDC 'needles' to nearly supersonic speeds. The problem was making the weapon as powerfull as a regular rail gun, but suppressing the loudness from firing, and finding a less dangerous form of powering it. Using a power pack connected to the stock of the gun by a MDC cable provides enough charges to satisfy enough of the power problem for military use. Several slots built into the top of the end of the barrel allows enough force from the exiting needle to escape through the top, which helps compensate for the kickback. There is also a sound suppression system built around the electo-magnetic field which sends out a sound wave exactly opposite of that produced by the firing of the gun. The opposite waves essentially cancle each other out: only a quiet 'kthick' sound is heard whenever the weapon is fired.
