Bus, Jeep, Police Car Code: At the car select screen hold C Up, C Left, C down at the same time then the cars will appear.

Lights Code: At the New time screen when the top scores come up use the joystick to go down to the bottom where you can see the little rolling pad. Push the joystick to the left until a head comes and says, "I love this job," then start a race. In the race push the brakes 2 times (L and R Buttons) and then the gas button then look closely at the brake lights they should turn on when you use the brakes.

Park Codes: On these codes, use them at the race course selection screen Golden Gate Park: Hold L button, C Left, C down at the same time San Francisco Park:Hold L button, C up, C right at the same time Indiana Park: Hold L button, C right, C down at the same time.

Ride on two wheels: Double tap the gas while turning a corner. Turn the wheel the other way to flip sideways.

Pop a wheelie: Double tap the gas during a race. This gives a good burst of speed. Try it while going up a hill to flip.

Get the fire truck: You first must get the school bus (C-up, C-left, C-down, on the la Bomba) and race all the difficulties,(racing the USA, Earning faster cars). On the last difficulty when you cruise the USA and win you get the fire truck!

Faster Car Cheat: Usually when you start a 2-player race across the US only 1 person gets the upgrade. BUT, when 1 person selects 1 save file and the 2nd person picks another, you can stop that! First pick different save files. Pick different cars next. Finally, race up to Washington DC. Pause and Quit the race then RESET (do not turn off and on!) the machine. Re-enter the game using the files used in the the 2-player game Finish the race with both cars and you will have 2 upgrades!

Two tricks: Chicago- As you begin the race, you will be on the freeway. After the first two turns, there should be a broken down car. If you hit the car (causing it to FLY through the air) it will land in front of the first place person. It takes practice to hit the car, but once you get it, it will be a BIG help for the tunnel. Golden Gate Park- You will be able to get outside of the first bridge. If you make the turn at the right time, you will fall over the bridge, and land up in a higher position. This one is VERY hard to get the timing right, but it works!!! Its more of a warp that just falling off of the bridge.

Shortcut: In the Grand Canyon after the first check point, stay along the right hand side until you see a dirt ramp that goes up. When you come up the ramp you will see a land bridge, go across it.{if you go too slow you will fall off}This will somtimes give you a big lead over the other cars. There is another shortcut like this to the right in the beginning of this stage.

Falling coconuts: In Beverly Hills, run into any tree on the side of the road and coconuts will fall out of the tree. Not much of a trick, but still pretty cool.

See the Disembodied Head: After entering your initials on the high score screen, push down and scroll to the bottom where the conveyor belt is. Hold left on the D-pad, and after 30-45 seconds a head will roll down the belt.

Nitrous Boost: This code is activated the same way as the "Flashing Lights with Siren" code below. Get your name on the "Hot Lists", scroll to the bottom of the list, and hold left for about 35 seconds until the head comes rolling across the screen. Using any car in any race, you can now get a Nitrous Boost by press Brake, Brake, Brake, Gas, Brake, Gas. You can only use this once for every checkpoint passed. NOTE: This code only works with your vehicle on the fourth level. (Cruise the USA three times to get it to the 4th level.)

Flashing Lights with Siren: The first thing you must do is select the Police Car or the School Bus. If you don't know how to, see one of the cheats below. Next, you can pick any board to race on. You must get a "Hot Time" on that board. After you put your initials in on the "Hot Times" screen, you must go all the way to the bottom of the "Hot Times" list. Now hold left for about 35 seconds (you'll see the rollers moving to the left.) If you chose the police car or school bus, got a hot time and you're at the bottom of the list, then one of the designers head will come rolling across the screen. He'll say, "I love this job." Exit the "Hot Times" screen and choose another board to race on. Once you've begun the actual race, press Brake, Brake, Accelerate fairly quickly. If you did everything correctly, the lights on your police car will be flashing and your siren will be going off. Or the lights on the school bus will be going off. To stop the siren and/or lights, simply let go of the gas button.

Choose the Hidden Cars: This cheat is actually slyly on the front side of the poster, but we figured we'd put it here anyway just in case you missed it. As with the arcade version of Cruis'n USA, you can select from a Jeep, Police Car and School Bus. The first thing you must do is go to the car selection screen. Now hold down Top C, Left C and Bottom C all at the same time. If you hold down those buttons over the '63 Muscle Car (leftmost car), then you can choose the Jeep. If you hold down those buttons over the La Bomba (second from the left), then you can choose the School Bus. And if you hold them down over the Devastator VI (the gray car which is third from the left), then you can choose the Police Car. Holding those buttons down over the rightmost car will do nothing.

Make Your Opponent's Wheels Fall Off: In Vs. Mode, when one player loses, if the other player rotates their joystick clockwise three times, the losing player's tires should fall off.

Bugs on the Windshield: While racing in Iowa, if you choose the inside the car view flies will hit your windshield.
