Flight from Covenant

I get the most questions about this level. The secret to it is troop control and path of exit. You've got the Codex and the Fallen Lords want it. You've got to escape from Covenant through a hidden tunnel just outside the ruined city. Only thing is, there's a very large army of Thrall, Wights and Myrmidons trying to stop you. All you've got is you're book carrying Jman, eighteen Warriors, eight Archers and two Dwarves.

Keep a tight grip on your troops at the begining of this level. You'll be surrounded by a lot of Thrall and some sneaky Wights. Use your Dwarves and Archers to kill the Wights and soften up the Thrall so your Warriors can do their thing. The courtyard battle is the toughest part of this level. You make it through that, and you're home free. Clear the Courtyard and head for the North end of the wall where the opening leading onto the lake is. Move through the lake staying North and moving East killing Wights as you go. You'll come to a ridge where Soulblighter makes a cameo appearance. Set up there and kill the Thrall that will come after you. At the big crater head East and a bit South and you'll run into the tunnel hidden in a grove of trees. Piece of cake.

Hints:

  • It is possible to just make a mad dash for the tunnel if you know where it is.
  • While moving through the lake, don't go too far North or you may lose some units to the edge of the map.
  • The only one who needs to make it to the tunnel is the Jman.
  • If the Jman dies or walks off the edge of the map the game will end. You lose.
    Here's the film.
