The Siege of Madrigal

You've got eighteen Warriors and eight Archers and you've been set the task of delaying a large force from reaching a larger battle elsewhere.

As you approach the bridge a group of Ghols come pouring over the bridge and move to flank you on both sides, some might even rush straight at you. Do not let them kill your Archers. Send the Warriors after them and kill them all. There are two Ghols standing guard at the bridge and they run for help as soon as you get too close or attack them. The help comes in the form of four Soulless who float up to guard the bridge. Split your Archers in half and shoot them down from either side. This will concentrate your fire while separating theres. As soon as you clear these four, move your Archers South of the bridge and line them up as far into the water as you can. For some reason this pisses the enemy off enough to cause them to attack. Shoot the Soulless first then take your time with the Thrall. Kill the remaining group of Soulless and Thrall and move across the bridge. Put all your Warriors together near the bridge where you can protect them with Archers and not real close to the water. Then send a small group of Archers to the square in the middle of town and walk a few yards up the road. This will trigger the Wights. Shoot them and don't let your Warriors get Wighted. Once they're cleared out, move your Archers back and send a lone Warrior up the road to find the army you're looking for. He'll come across a large group of Ghols on the way. Keep moving him towards the enemy till he says he's spotted them. Now move all your troops back over the bridge, killing Wights along the way. Let the lone Warrior scout die and you've won.

Hints:

  • Two lines of four Archers in a #3 line work best.
  • Don't get Wighted
  • The more Archers you have, the easier it'll be for you.
