A Traitor's Grave

You've been double crossed, and it's time to show what happens to traitors. The mayor of Otter Ferry has dropped a dime on you to get in good with the Fallen. You command a small assasin squad, a Journey Man, five Archers and a Dwarf, to find the rat and stomp him.  
On this level I kill the Villager because he sometimes gives you away to the enemy before you're ready. However, he sometimes distracts the Ghols for you. So whether he lives or dies is your call.

Head East. There is a little island of a hill that's just perfect to give your Archers a little height advantage. There will be a Ghol keeping pace with you on the way, kill it if you can, but don't go crazy chasing him all over the place. Set up on the hill in a #2 line facing North, a pack of Ghols will be just North East of you on patrol. Stay just outside their sight and they'll keep running their patrol until you come into their range. By that time you'll have some vet Archers and a vet Dwarf to handle them. Archer all the Soulless while your Dwarf and Jman kill the two Ghols that rush you, then kill the Thrall with Dwarf and Archers. Once that's done, move a tad East to trigger the patroling Ghols. Kill them. You're now finished on this side. Move back to where you started from and make your way up the road, killing everything that comes your way.

Now for the trick. Move your Dwarf to the North West and put him in ambush near the trail. Send the rest of your troops up the road towards the statue where the traitor is and chase him to your Dwarf, who is waiting to hand him a Flaming Homer.

Hints:

  • You don't need the Dwarf to finish this level, but it's real hard without him.
  • If you let the traitor get too far to the edge of the map, he escapes and you lose.
  • Use up those heals but don't waste them.
  • If you wait at the start long enough, a huge pack of Ghols will come out of the hills behind you (from off the map).
