Season One
#001--Crossed Swords
Lamont buys a porcelain figurine from for $20. Convinced of it's much higher value, he
decides to take it to an auction house. At the auction house, Lamont builds the price to
$1500 on the piece himself but Fred outbids everyone and later ends up breaking it.
#002--Happy Birthday, Pop
Lamont buys Fred a new hat and takes him out for his 65th birthday. After going to a bar,
a cinema and a Chinese restaurant with Fred complaining about it all, Lamont leaves Fred
with $5 and in the rain.
#003--Here Comes the Bride, There Goes the Bride
Lamont's fiancée leaves him standing at the altar. The family comes over to the
house not to comfort him, but to try and get there presents back. When Lamont gets
upset, he throws them all out and takes off for his honeymoon vacation with Fred.
#004--The Copper Caper
Thinking he can get an incredible deal on copper, Lamont buys a large quantity from some
guy even though Fred tries to tell Lamont that something is shady. It turns out that its
HOT COPPER stolen from Fred's friend Goldstein down the street and while Lamont was
waiting to make the deal, he loses his own copper as well, his houses pipes.
#005--A Matter of Life and Breath
Lamont and Fred, at Lamont's insistence, take advantage of the free test offered by a
Breathmoblie. The results convince Fred that he has tuberculosis.
#006--We Were Robbed
Fred covers his clumsiness of breaking Lamonts porcelain by proclaiming "we were
robbed" and he turns into a boastful hero cited for bravery. Lamont later finds
his broken porcelain and then pretends to be robbed and the thing they went after, Fred's
money, $200.
#007--A Pad for Lamont
Angered by his father's constant interruption of his dates, Lamont moves out to pursue the
life of a swinging bachelor.
#008--The Great Sanford Siege
When the Sanfords are late on their bills, the collection agency comes to repossess their
property. Fred does a great acting job of falling down the stairs and threatening to sue.
His plan works as he gets enough money to pay his bills and keep his stuff.
#009--Coffins for Sale
Lamont buys two coffins at an auction. Very superstition about having coffins in the
house, Fred decided to sleep in the back of the truck until they are sold.
#010--The Barracuda
Lamont strongly objects to his father's proposal of marriage to the widow Donna Harris.
#011--TV or Not TV
Fred wants a color television and Lamont wants a car, but they can't afford both. Fred
enraged to learn that Lamont brought the car, ends up in the hospital with amnesia.
#012--The Suitcase Case
Along the route, Lamont finds a suitcase full of money. Fred and Lamont get all jittery
thinking that the money is stolen and crooks are looking for them, just when they get
relaxed, the crook comes in, ties up Lamont and gets the suitcase. Luckily for the
guys, Officer Smitty and Swanny show up to save the day.
#013--The Return of the Barracuda
Fred and Donna have reconciled their differences and are once again planning to wed.
#014--The Piano Movers
A great deal on a grand piano finds Lamont and Fred lodged in the apartment of a wealthy
eccentric.
Season Two
#015--The Light Housekeeper
Since Fred has a broken arm and can't coordinate, Lamont calls an employment agency to
find a housekeeper. The agency sends over a housekeeper, and she's white, lazy, and can't
cook. Fred then gets Lamont to fire her, but when Fred still complains and Lamont
calls the agency again, the scam is up, Fred's arm is fine.
#016--Blood is Thicker than Junk
Lamont is angry that Fred doesn't do his share of the work and decides to find another
job. He ends up with one of the other neighborhood junkmen. Meanwhile, Fred hires a thug
to take Lamont's place. After Lamont ends up working an exhausting day with overtime
and getting fired, and Fred's new worker doing nothing but spending Fred's money on a
watch bear, the two make up thinking the other doesn't know how bad it was.
#017--By the Numbers
Fred has a dream about him travelling on a bus and and train and gets number 219 from
Lucky Lucille's Number Book. He ends up winning wins $600 by playing a dollar. While
waiting to take off for Las Vegas, Bubba and Aunt Ethel show up needing money. Fred
you poor sucker, he gives it all away, and to top it off, gets his last $50 bucks stolen.
#018--The Card Sharps
Fred is convinced that Lamont's card-playing buddies are trying to sock it-to him for
every cent he's got, but Lamont won't believe him.
#019--Whiplash
While Fred's driving in the truck, he is involved in a hit-and-run. Fred then is told by
Bubba to claim whiplash, which rhymes with "Get Cash". Unfortunately for
Fred, the car that hit him is stolen.
#020--Have Gun, Will Sell
Lamont and his friend Rollo scare off a burglar in the Sanford house, but he leaves
something behind -- a gun.
#021--The Dowry
Fred's cousin is in town, along with his new wife and daughter in law, Fat Betty Jean.
When Fred finds out that Betty Jean will receive $10,000 when she gets
married, Fred tries to set Lamont up with her to cash in. Lamont then turns the
tables and says he is gonna be with her and they are gonna move to St. Louis. So
Fred breaks it up and drives her away.
#022--Jealousy
Invited to dinner at the Sanford home, Fred's fiancée Donna brings along a patient who is
in her care. The man, apparently a healthy specimen, makes it obvious he thinks of Donna
as more than a nurse.
#023--Tooth or Consequences
When Fred's attempt to have a hypnotist cure his toothache fails, Lamont insists that his
"chicken" father go to the free clinic.
#024--The Shootout
Lamont gets a great buy, a Revolutionary War gun. When the gun accidentally fires into a
neighbor's window, Fred and Lamont think they their neighbor, Goldstein, is killed.
When Goldstein arrives, they are both relieved, but the gun gets melted down
before then. So much for the dealer who shows up with a buyer.
#025--The Puerto Ricans are Coming!
Guess who has moved in next door, its a Puerto Rican, Julio Fuentes. Fred throws a
fit, and quickly makes enemies with Julio. But when Fred calls a building inspector
to check out Julio's place, Julio gets a certificate for improvement, and Fred gets a
ticket for violations.
#026--A Visit from Lena Horne
Fred spots Lena Horne's car in the parking lot while touring the NBC studios and sneaks
away to meet "the first lady of his dreams." Lena Horne Guest stars.
#027--Sanford and Son and Sister Makes Three
Fred's old flame Juanita brings her daughter Alice to dinner and its love at first sight
for Lamont. When Lamont plans to marry Alice, Fred tries to convince his son not to.
Ja'net DuBois and Emily Yancy Guest stars.
#028--Fred & Carol & Fred & Donna
Fred invites both his fiancée Donna and a door-to-door saleslady to dinner on the same
evening.
#029--A Guest in the Yard
Fred and Lamont find a bum in their yard and before they know it, the Sanfords are jumping
to his every whim for fear he'll make good on his threat.
#030--The Big Party
Fred and Lamont are short on money, to pay the bills, so they decide to have a rent party.
While having the party, two gangsters come over to make Fred and Lamont "an offer
they can't refuse". With no one to turn to, Fred invites Esther & her
"Raiders (The Church Ladies)" to drive out the gangsters. Good old Fred is
happy to have those bible meetings.
#031--Lamont goes African
Fred thinks Lamont's fascinations with Africa are Ludicrous, until he meets Olayia, a
Nigerian women with definite ideas about parental respect.
#032--Watts Side Story
Next door neighbor, Julio, borrows the truck to pick up his mother and sister who were
flying in from New York. In a show of friendship, Lamont takes Julio's sister on a date.
Fred disapproves and goes to spy on them and runs into Julio's mother
"accidentally" and gets caught with her by Skillet and Leroy. Hey Fred,
its La Cucaracha Time.
#033--Pops n' Pals
Feeling jealous and neglected, Fred conjures up several ruses that will hopefully keep
Lamont from spending so much time with Julio.
#034--The Infernal Triangle
Lamont is upset when Fred announces that he plans to marry a young woman he has just met.
Lamont is shocked when he finds out that she is one of his old girlfriends.
#035--Home Sweet Home for the Aged
Lamont decides to go around the world on a tramp steamer, and tells Fred that he wants him
to move into a old folks home. Fred reluctantly obliges. Bubba comes to visit Fred at his
new home, and tells him that Lamont seems upset about the whole thing. With Bubba's help,
Fred schemes to make Lamont think he keeps hearing Fred's voice, he gets caught but Lamont
changes his mind.
#036--Pot Luck
Lamont outsmarts himself when he buys what he believes is a rare antique commode for only
$20. It turns out that Lamont is a ploy for a con game.
#037--The Kid
A nine-yearold fatherless boy, named Jason, comes over to the house one day, claiming that
his mother leaves him along during the afternoon and early evening. He keeps hanging out
with Fred and Lamont because he has nothing better to do and eventually works his way into
Fred's heart.
#038--Rated X
Lamont and Rollo want to take advantage of Hollywood's demand for black actors. Seeing the
two, Fred decides that he wants to join in, too. When they go to a studio to do a script
reading, they find out that the movie they're auditioning for is a porno. The studio gets
raided, they all go to jail, and Aunt Esther has to bail them all out.
Season Three
#039--Lamont, is that you?
Fred is worried that Lamont and Rollo spend too much time together. One night, Bubba
chances upon Lamont and Rollo at a gay club and goes and tells Fred. Fred immediately
jumps to the conclusion that the two are gay. It turns out that they were at this place
accidentally. When Fred goes to confirm his suspicions, Rollo sees him and Bubba walk into
the same club, and tells Lamont.
#040--Lamont as Othello
Fred returns home unexpectedly and finds Lamont and drama coach Marilyn in the choking
scene of Othello.
#041--This Little TV Went to Market
The TV is on the fritz, and the boys decide it's time to get a new one. Lamont wants to
buy a really nice one on credit, while Fred wants to spend only $50. While Lamont is out
working, Fred buys a TV from Guy's Groovy Grab Bag. It turns out that the TV was stolen
from Grady's place.
#042--Presenting The Three Degrees
Despite Fred's objections, Lamont and Rollo try to make big stars out of the singing trio
"The Three Degrees."
#043--Libra Rising All Over Lamont
Lamont consults a psychic about his relationship with his father and finds out he is
double Libra and must make up with Fred. Meanwhile, Fred gets sick after eating
three day old collared greens. Aunt Esther comes over, with her church sisters, to pray
for him. Luckily for Lamont, he is not double Libra and is a leader. Get outta
that bed Fred!
#044--Fred, the Reluctant Fingerman
Fred is witness to burglary at Julio's house, but he refuses to identify the burglars for
the police.
#045--Fuentes, Fuentes, Sanford and Chico
Lamont and Julio go into the used auto parts business and drive Fred to skid row. Fred
thinks Lamont's new venture means his son is deserting their partnership.
#046--A House is not a Poolroom
Lamont buys Fred a pool table for a birthday gift and Fred's buddies turn the Sanford home
into a pool hall.
#047--The Chameleon
Fred has a collection of 78's from the greatest blues singer of all-time, Blind Mellow
Jelly. Lamont convinces Fred that if he donates them to a library, they can get a sizeable
tax deduction. When they take the records to a librarian, he appraises the value at $500.
Convinced that he can get more than $500, Fred uses Bubba in a scheme to get them back.
Unfortunately, they all get broken on the way to the dealer who will buy
them.
#048--Superflyer
Fred is told that his uncle Leotis has died and has left him an inheritance. Fred and
Lamont decide to fly out to St. Louis to collect their money. While on the plane, Fred
begins to act up and only to find out that the money was for Leotis's funeral.
#049--"The Member of the Wedding/The Engagement"
Fred succumbs to Donna's pressures and agrees to marry her, So Lamont invites some of the
family over to cause trouble. Aunts Esther, Minny, and Flossy and Uncles Woody,
Edgar and Jake.
#050--Grady, The Star Boarder
Grady is unhappy with his living situation cause of his neighbors fighting, so Fred
invites him over to live at the house for $60 a month. The problem is, Grady snores
and eats all the food. So Lamont and Fred pretend to fight and get Grady to leave,
of course then Fred and Lamont begin to really fight.
#051--Mama's Baby, Papa's Maybe
"Big Money Grip" Madlock comes to L.A. to tell Fred and Lamont that Lamont is
really his son. It takes convincing from Aunt Esther to prove he didn't go into
Elizabeth's room. Actually, he went into Esthers room.
#052--Leaving the Nest
When their friend Junior Cooper dies, Fred and Bubba, Grady, Leroy, and Skillet decide to
have a party to undepress themselves. They invite topless dancer, Fast Fanny to come over,
along with her friends. Lamont gets them liquored up and exhausted before the girls
arrived. Ready Freddy becomes Sensible Sanford.
#053--Fred Sanford, Legal Eagle
When Lamont gets a ticket for causing an accident, Grady calls over his friend, Sonny, a
tailor/lawyer, who gives him advice on what to say in court. Lamont decides against the
advice, and goes into court on his own behalf. Everything is fine, until Fred's buddies
show up betting with Fred and Fred acts as Lamont's counsel. Lamont wins on the
ticket, but Fred is fined for contempt.
#054--This land is whose Land?
When Julio runs out of room at his own place, he begins to store things over at the
Sanford's. When Fred finds out, he gets angry, and decides to have a surveyor come out to
determine where the property line lays. It turns out that Julio's property is almost the
entire yard.
#055--Fred's Cheating Heart
Convinced that it is impossible for Fred to have six heart attacks a week, Lamont tells
Fred he is getting married to Julios sister, when Fred has a heart-attack, he rushes him
to a hospital. Fred then switches his hospital papers with another man, and almost
gets a removal of hemorrhoids.
#056--The Party Crasher
Rollo and Lamont have a date with two fine, foxy, females from Detroit. The problem is,
they need a place to party. When Fred decides not to let them have it at the house, unless
he can be there too, they head over to Rollo's small apartment. Fred ends up with the
women, the onion stew, and the ripple.
#057--Charley's Tea
Lamont gets beat up because he took Joe Joe Jackson's, the central avenue sledgehammers,
woman out. So, he decides to take karate lessons to protect himself. Luckily for
Lamont, Grady tells Joe Joe that Lamont has a disease and could die if he is bothered.
Joe Joe believes it after Lamont's karate display.
#058--Will the Real Fred Sanford Please do Something
Grady sets involved in a case of mistaken identity with Betty Hairston who thinks she's
engaged to him.
#059--Tyranny, Thy name is Grady
Lamont brings home a new girlfriend who has one thing on her mind : marriage. When Lamont
informs her that he cannot marry her, because his father is out of town, and wouldn't
approve, she asks Lamont's godfather, Grady, for permission. Because she spends so much
time with Grady, he thinks that she has the hots for him.
#060--Aunt Esther and Uncle Woodrow Pfftt...
Woody shows up at Fred's house while Grady is watching it, and Esther has kicked Woody
out. So Grady, not wanting Woody there, gets Woody to take alot of drinks and sends
him back to take on Esther. It ends up, Woody kicks Esther out and she shows up at
Fred's and stays. Everything works out in the end when everyone gets mad at Grady.
#061--The way to Lamont's Heart
Determined to get Lamont to the altar, his latest girl Judy schemes to gain the support of
his godfather Grady by making advances toward him.
#062--Hello, Cousin Emma . . .Goodbye, Cousin Emma
Grady's cousin Emma gets an invitation to lodge at the Sanford home, triggering a plot to
get her out.
Season 4
#063--Fred's Treasure Garden
A fun time is had by all when Grady serves his friends a salad made with home-grown
parsley.
#064--Once a Thief
Lamont's friend, Herman, is an ex-con and needs a job and a place to stay. Grady hides all
the "valuables" thinking that they might get stolen. Aunt Esther gives Herman a
job at her store, until she finds out that he's been in jail. Later, realizing the error
of her ways, she hires him back.
#065--A Little Extra Security
Grady accidentally receives duplicate Social Security checks and despite Lamont's advice,
refuses to report the error. Later, Grady and Otis return from Las Vegas after spending
all the money. When the social security worker calls, Grady goes into a panic, but
ends up getting another check. Unluckily for Grady, Lamont is too honest in the end.
#066--There'll be Some Changes Made
Lamont may be in for a fight when he tries to change Fred's bigoted attitude toward other
minorities.
#067--Going out of Business
When the business isn't making enough money, Fred's accountant suggests that Lamont get a
job. Lamont ends up at a haberdashery, but then Fred comes into the store as a wealthy
eccentric and turns everything into disarray. Guess what Fred, no refunds.
#068--Ol' Brown Eyes
Everyone chips in to get Fred a diamond ring with his initials on it, FS, for Fred's 35th
anniversary of his business. But with Rollo involved, and there being a theft of
Frank Sinatra's jewelry the day before. Fred thinks Rollo stole it and Lamont is
receiving stolen goods. When Fred tries to return the ring, he gets caught and tries
to take all the blame from the police. Turns out, the diamond ring is a fake.
#069--Matchmaker, Matchmaker
Lamont's Uncle George dies and bequeaths him $7,000-- if he produces a son within the next
12 months and names him George.
#070--Grady and his Lady
Grady comes over to the house announcing he's engaged to a woman named Dolly. After
meeting her, Fred decides that if the two get married, he'll lose his best friend. He
concocts a scheme to get rid of Dolly making it seem as if Fred and Dolly were having an
affair. When Grady finds out, he gets rid of them both.
#071--The Surprise Party
Fred returns from a long trip only to find that he's spoiled a homecoming party Lamont and
Grady had planned for him. Unfortunately for the guests, Fred isn't in the mood.
#072--First Night Out
Fred buys a former racehorse named General Lee, from Calvin. He knows that he cannot race
the horse anymore, so he tries to "stud" him instead. Lamont then discovers that
the horse can't reproduce. So Fred tries to con his way into selling it.
#073--Home Sweet Home
Greed gets in the way when a Japanese land development company offers to buy the Sanford
house.
#074--"Sanford & Niece"
Fred's niece Elizabeth comes for a visit. Fred's niece looks just like her namesake,
Elizabeth. Trouble arises as she's preparing to move into the dorms for her first year of
college, because Fred finds out that one of her roommates is male.
#075--Strange Bedfellows
To impress a politically minded girlfriend, Lamont sounds off about community problems on
a local radio show and is subsequently talked into running for state assemblyman.
#076--Julio and Sister and Nephew
Fred's anti-Puerto Rican attitude suddenly changes after Julio's nephew is the victim of
discrimination in school.
#077--The Merger
Three proves to be a crowd when Lamont decides on a merger that would form one big
"junkpire."
#078--Tower Power
Fred creates an idea of his own after Lamont's art-conscious friend Sandra takes the
Sanfords on a tour of an art museum. Janee Michelle Guest stars.
#079--My Brother-in-Law's Keeper
Fred can't wait for his sister to come for a visit and introduce her new husband -- but
that's before he finds out the groom is white.
#080--The Masquerade Party
Fred wants to get Lamont a good present for his birthday. So Fred, Bubba and Grady decide
to go on Wheel and Deal to win him some. They end up with a Gold watch for Lamont
But when they show up for Lamont's party, Fred ruins it for Lamont driving
everyone away. Lamont makes up with Fred once he hears Fred gave up a color TV for
the watch.
#081--Golden Boy
Fred's old buddy, Kirby comes over with an offer Fred cannot refuse, a stake in a
"million dollar fighter", Junior "Joe Louis". When Kirby leaves town
to take care of business, Fred screws everything up with the fight promoter. In order to
make things up, Fred stages an exhibition in the yard between Junior and a reluctant
Lamont. When Lamont goes down, Fred KO's Junior.
#082--The Stand-In
Fred's old friend Bow Legs is in town to do a show, as an act called the
"Zanies". While at the house, Bow Legs' partner injures himself, and Fred and
Lamont come to the rescue and do the show. Fred ends up throwing Bow Legs out at the
end when he finds out it was Bow Legs who introduced him to Esther.
#083--The Headache
Lamont has a headache for two days. When he goes to the doctor to find out the source, he
becomes concerned because the doctor tells him that the cause is Fred. So, he tries to
hide the information from Fred and begins to treat him nicely.
#084--The Older Woman
Lamont is in love with an older woman. When Lamont won't tell Fred anything about
her, Fred decides to sneak out in disguise with Grady and find out. After Fred's
disapproval, he decides to go out with Grady's cousins grandmother who is 10 years older
than Fred and show up for dinner with Lamont and his older woman Grace.
#085--The Stung
Fred's friend Al Banks come to visit, and when Lamont won't let Fred play in the poker
game, Fred gets Al (A professional card player), to teach the guys a lesson.
Al then takes off with all the money. One of the players, Arms Crowder,
better known as "You bet your Life", wants his money back, Fred is forced to
work in a car wash. Lucky for Fred, Al Comes back.
#086--The Family Man
Note : Episode was pilot for spin-of series "Grady".
Grady is unhappy because he feels unwanted. So, he decides to buy them a housewarming
gift, a risqué painting of a nude woman. He hangs the painting above the fireplace before
a big party. Not wanting to hurt his feelings, the family keeps the painting up, to the
dismay of the party's guests.
Season 5
#087--The Over the Hill Gag
Fred's doctor has given him months--to pay his bill. But Lamont and Rollo mistakenly think
the end is near and try to make Fred's last days happy by setting up a date with Lena
Horne.
#088--The Oddfather
When Fred accidentally stumbles upon an attempted murder, the criminal tries to make it
two victims for the price of one.
#089--Donna Pops the Question
It's now or never for Fred when his girlfriend Donna receives a proposal from another man.
#090--The Olympics
Donna has a date with a man who is a Senior Olympian. Not to be outdone, Fred challenges
him and wins all the events, but its the other guy who gets Donna by acting hurt.
#091--Divorcee, Sanford Style
After a battle with her husband, Esther takes refuge in the Sanford home. After a
few days, it is recommended that Esther be there 6 months, so Fred makes a plan to get
Woody and Esther back together.
#092--Bank on This
Fred and Lamont go to the bank to apply for a $1500 loan, to open Sanford Arms. While at
the bank, two inexperienced gunmen come in and stick the place up. After negotiating with
the police, they release all but one hostage, Fred. So, Fred fakes a heart attack, the
gunmen get scared and allow themselves to be taken by the cops.
#093--The TV Addict
Lamont figures the only way to cure Fred of being a "teleholic" is to hypnotize
him into thinking that everytime he has the urge to turn on the set, the set will
overheat.
#094--The Sanford Arms
As new landlords of an apartment house, Fred and Lamont have to be selective about their
tenants.
#095--Earthquake II
After several small earthquakes rock the Sanford home, Russian seismologists tell Fred
it's only a matter of time until the "big one" hits.
#096--Brother, Can You Spare an Act
The only way for Fred to get his white brother-in-law Rodney out of his house and his hair
is to do something drastic--like go into show business.
#097--Steinberg and Son
Fred and Lamont are outraged when they see a new television series about a man, his son
and their junk business.
#098--My Fair Esther
Fred attempts to transform the lowly Esther into an elegant lady in order to collect $500
from her husband.
#099--Greatest Show in Watts
When a Sanford Arm's tenant can't come up with the rent, he leaves Fred his pet elephant
as collateral.
#100--Della, Della, Della
Working on a campaign for a political candidate, singer/actress Della Reese convinces Fred
to let her use the Sanford home as campaign headquarters.
#101--Can You Chop This?
Fred invests Lamont's money into some Whopper Choppers. When Lamont threatens to
leave, Fred goes on a cooking TV show creating havoc and embarrassing the Whopper Chopper
salesman who sold Fred the Choppers. The salesman ends up buying them all back and a
little more, his word.
#102--Sanford and Rising Son
After he discovers how well and how cheaply his Japanese friend can cook, Fred turns his
living room into a Japanese Restaurant.
#103--Fred Sanford has a Baby
While Lamont is away on a fishing trip, Fred rents out his room to a very pregnant lady.
#104--Ebenezer Sanford
Despite attempts by his friends to spread Christmas cheer, Fred becomes a miserable
scrooge.
#105--Lamont in Love
Suspicious of Lamont's mysterious new girlfriend Janet, Fred feels an investigation is in
order and transforms himself into the Watts version of Colombo. Even though he kinda
likes her in the end, Fred get mad when Lamont wants to marry her.
#106--The Escorts
When Fred and his friends start their own escort service, they learn there's much more to
the dating business than meets the eye.
#107--The Engagement Man Always Rings Twice
Fred is thrilled when Lamont announces his engagement until he learns that the couple
doesn't want to live with him.
#108--A Pain in the Neck
Fred is worried that his back problem will take the glory away from his walk to the podium
as he is to be honored with the Watts Businessman-of-the-year Award.
#109--Camping Trip
Lamont wants to spend some time with Fred before he gets married so he takes Fred camping.
The whole trip turns sour when the truck won't start, they have only a small
amount of food, and it starts to snow, along with Freds complaining. Turns out the
truck worked, and they knew it all the time.
#110--The Director
Everyone gets into the act when Fred and Lamont join the community activities and put on a
play. George Foreman guest stars.
#111--Sergeant Gork
Fred's tells Janets son a story about him in the war. Its about Major Fred G. Sanford,
Lieutenant Lamont, and there band of misfits, most notably Fingers Rollo and Bubbaface
Bexley in there effort to get the location of the V1 and V2 rockets. They get caught
in the end of the story and Fred bites his tongue. Janets son then sells Fred's
medals for $10 each, but keeps one for Fred.
Season 6
#112--Fred's Extra Job
In a desperate attempt to persuade Lamont to stay with him in the junk business, Fred
secretly borrows money from the bank to show his son that business is booming.
#113--I Dream of Choo Choo Rabinowitz
Lamont's mother-in-law will be visiting to give a speech on a paper she wrote, in order to
impress her, Fred tries to break the World record for staying awake held by Choo Choo
Rabinowitz. In his victory party, Fred falls asleep, 30 seconds short. But in
the event, Bubba and Jason break world records, singing Rag Time Blues and bouncing a
basketball.
#114--The Winning Ticket
A con-man comes by with the idea of creating a raffle for the business. The idea,
have a raffle, with no winning ticket. But when someone actually shows up with it,
Fred makes Esther another winning ticket and Bubba the judge.
#115--The Hawaiian Connection-Part I (one hour)
Coincidentally, the Junkmen of America are having their annual convention in Hawaii as
three professional jewel thieves are faced with the problem of finding someone to smuggle
the diamonds out of Hawaii into Los Angeles. So the jewel thieves need a pigeon to
get the jewels outta the island. Fred Sanford, your a pigeon.
#116--The Hawaii Connection-Part II (1/2 hour)
Completely unaware that he is part of a robbery, Fred loses track of his friend's
"package" and is chased by the crooks all over the island. The crooks are
eventually caught by Hawaii Five-0, and Fred returns home. At home, the person who
took the suitcase shows up and takes his own back. When Fred returns the diamond
police, there's a $500 dollar reward, too bad he ends up with the plane ticket bill, $506.
#117--The Stakeout
Hoppy and Smitty track down a criminal who is staying at the Sanford Arms, in drag. Fred
thinks the criminal is a beautiful woman and tries to court her. When Fred
finds out the truth, he tries to get the guy caught and get a $1000 reward. When his
plan fails, its Bubba that cashes in.
#118--California Crude
A geologist shows up telling Fred there's oil in his junkyard. Fred doesn't believe
him until he strikes it in his garden. When an Arabian man shows up wanting to buy
the oil rights, Fred spends a ton of money. It doesn't work out though, when they
find out Fred's crude oil is crud.
#119--Committee Man
Fred is ecstatic when the Mayor selects him to represent Watts businessmen on a community
relatives committee.
#120--Aunt Esther has a Baby
Esther has been trying to adopt a baby for quite some time and finally gets an appointment
with the adoption agency.
#121--Aunt Esther meets her Son
Fred and Lamont become peacemakers when Esther finds that her newly adopted son doesn't
believe in God and kicks him out of the house.
#122--Sanford and Gong
Fred, Lamont and Bubba perform a song and dance routine on Fred's favorite television
program, "The Gong Show, " with plans of winning the grand prize.
#123--Fred meets Redd
Fred must decide if he should spend time with his accountant and complete his tax forms
before the deadline or compete in a Redd Foxx look-alike contest. Jack Carter Guest stars.
#124--Carol
When a curious visitor arrives at the Sanford home and claims to have known Fred forty
years ago, Fred's memory suddenly falters.
#125--Here Today, Gone Today
Unaware that Lamont and Esther are trying to surprise him by sending out the furniture to
be re-upholstered, Fred comes home early and thinks it's all been stolen.
#126--Chinese Torture/The Defiant One
Grady is practicing for his magic act in the church show. His first trick,
handcuffing Esther and Fred together. The only problem is, when Grady can't unlock
the cuffs, the instructions are in Chinese. So Fred and Esther are forced to spend
the day together until Grady can order instructions in English. It all works out
when Grady finally gets them off, but gets himself stuck to Lamont.
#127--A Matter of Silence
Lamont takes Fred in to see the doctor because Fred is having trouble hearing. The
doctor cleans out Fred's ears cause they have wax in them. But then Fred overhears
Lamont and Donna talking and Donna saying she will visit Fred more cause they think Fred
is going deaf. So Fred fakes he has hearing loss, only until Lamont finds out and
they fool him making him think he really is losing his hearing.
#128--When John Comes Marching Home
Lamont's future wife's ex-husband arrives with some earth-shattering news that could
change the course of everyone's life.
#129--The Reverend Sanford
In another one of Fred's schemes, Fred buys the rights to create churches. After
Fred gets his certificate, a con man shows up being the head bishop and tells Fred he has
24 hours to have his first service, or he loses the house. In a stroke of genius, he
creates a church with his religion being "Junkism". Fred turns the tables
on the con man making him the churches sacrifice. It works when the con man rips up
his certificate.
#130--The Will
Fred is fearful that his days are numbered after Esther delivers a crashing blow to his
head with her Bible-laden purse.
#131--Fred the Activist
Fred wants to buy a stereo at Honest Al's, but Honest Al will not let him buy it on time,
because of his age. So, Fred joins a senior citizens group known as the "Gray
Foxes". The Gray Foxes picket the store until Honest Hank offers Fred a free stereo
(delivered) if Fred calls off the group. In a show of generosity, Fred gives the stereo to
the Foxes.
#132--The Lucky Streak
Fred embarks on a lucky gambling streak as he and Lamont need a quick $4,000 to buy the
Sanford Arms.
#133--Funny, You Don't Look It
Fred is so certain he is a descendant of a famous person that he pays a company $25 to
trace his roots.
#134--Fred Sings the Blues
While Fred is reading the autobiography of Riley "B.B." King, an old friend from
St. Louis, he comes across a passage that insinuates that Fred stole Elizabeth from Riley.
Fearing for his life, he tells Woody. It turns out that it was actually Woody who stole
Esther from Riley.
#135--School Daze
Fred and Bubba go to night classes but Fred keeps it a secret from Lamont, Donna and
Esther. The three think that Fred is cheating until Lamont follows him to school.
Fred says he is going back to get his high school diploma. Fred not
only gets it, but wins a bet with Bubba for who gets a better score. That's Fred G
Sanford and the G stands for valedictorian.
