The single biggest mistake made on this level is by trying to kill off the Villagers. 90% of the time, all you'll end up doing is blowing up your Dwarves. Leave the Villagers be. They distract the attention of your enemy away from you.
First thing you do is head for the hill where the shrine is and set up a line of Dwarves backed up by Archers facing down the stairs. Kill the squad of Thrall and Soulless that show up. Then rotate and face South, setting up at the back stairs. Run an zerk South to the pack of Ghols there and make them chase you back to the shrine. Kill them. Run everyone South to the river bank and the second pack of Ghols. Kill half with Archers then move the Archers and half your Dwarves to the water fall and cross over. The remaining Ghols will attack the Dwarves you left behind. Either blow them up or hack them up with your zerks, then move the Dwarves and Zerks through the waterfall also. Move through the forest to the river crossing that's guarded by Soulless and Thrall. Kill them. The path you are now on is the backdoor to the knott. Take one Dwarf and load him up with at least seven satchels and take your best veteran Dwarf to go with him. Run your satcheled Dwarf up to one of the knots pillars and drop your satchels. Once they are dropped, blow them with the veteran that escorted him there. |
