One week until winter break...oh well, I think I'm the only one leaving the area. Besides that, happy holidays everyone. -Kevin

"Yesterday (60 years ago), December 7, 1941, a date, which will live in infamy..."

3...more...weeks...until...winter...break...
November 25, 2001
Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. Well, all four of us spent the day after at Hagerstown's Prime Outlets doing some shopping. Besides that, today was our Chinese school's 20th year anniversary performance, which went well, I guess. It was pretty cool watching the video that the alums put together, which reflected back on the past 20 years. Oh well, another 3? 4? weeks until winter break... -Kevin
November 18, 2001
So let's recount what happened yesterday/today. So Terry, Tim Yang, and Eric Wei decided to get some Nintendo Gamecubes. Therefore, they were going to stay the night at Best Buy. However, since the demand for Gamecube isn't ultra high, there wasn't anyone in the parking lot when they went at 6pm. At 10pm, there still weren't that many people, so they all stayed at Terry's house. At 4:30am, Terry's dad drove them to Best Buy where they waited...and waited. Still, there are probably only like 10 people waiting with them. Anyways, by around 7am, they opened the store early just for Gamecubes. Terry, Tim, Eric, and Terry's dad were numbers 2 through 5 (they went in one by one). As they entered the store, they were barraged by store workers who were trying to sell other Gamecube related products (hehehe). So, staying up all night was to waste, but at least they had the experience of doing something of the like. Oh well, so now Terry has 2 Gamecubes and he's selling one on EBay. However, if Gamecube is like X-Box, there are probably still a few on the shelves. Okay, that's it. -Kevin
November 11, 2001
Terry has colored contacts...his left eye is blue and his right eye is green...he chose to do this because it's the eye colors of Yuna from FFX...what a loser...Anyways, we all had a midterm today in Chinese School. Hahaha, the teacher, who's Ian's aunt, separated everyone of us so we couldn't cheat, so almost everyone screwed up on the listen and write part. Anyways, I guess that's about it. Next week we'll have our report cards, I believe and then it'll be Thanksgiving Break. Okay, cyuz.
November 5, 2001
Oh my gosh, first quarter has finally come to an end meaning that there are two half days tomorrow! Woohoo! However, I'm probably going to be spending these extra hours catching up on homework...d'oh! Yesterday at Chinese School we had the annual speech competition. I talked about how asian mothers always yell at their kids and tell them its for their own good...Brett talked about the speech competition itself and how you should say what you want to say...Ian talked about his ugly old self (meaning prior to his "evolution")...and Terry talked about the Great Wall of China. Okay so that's about it. Cyuz. -Kevin
October 27, 2001
So...what's up with us? Well...since the PSATs...Brett's got his braces off, Terry highlighted his hair, Ian found a shocking picture of himself on the Internet and Kevin's totally stressed out. Anyways, last weekend Brett went to see the United We Stand concert at RFK while the other three went to see this Buddhist Choir at Georgetown University. Errmmm...what else, what else? I think that's it. Okay then, bye bye.
P.S. End of first quarter is rapidly approaching...and grades...arent...good...
October 15, 2001
PSATs tomorrow...AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
October 7, 2001
So yesterday, we performed the dragon thing to celebrate "Double 10". However, we had to do it OUTSIDE in the COLD in T-SHIRTS!!! Aiyo!!! Add that with the wind, and some screw-ups like the dragon being twisted in two places, and you have a problem...=P -Kevin
September 30, 2001
Errmm...nottin much. Cyuz.
September 23, 2001
GUESS WHAT?! Brett got his provisional (on the 21st) so y'allz better WATCH OUT!!! CAUTION: YOU MAY WANT TO LIMIT YOUR TIME ON THE ROAD...Besides that, err...not much.
September 16, 2001
Okay, so life is starting to return to "normal", if you can call it that. Oh well, not much else going on besides the terrorist stuff (its mostly news on tv too), but I just needed to keep all you updated on our lives (or at least mine). -Kevin
September 11, 2001
Okay, so it's a day late. I didn't know! 'S the thought that counts, right? So...
Happy Birthday, Kevin!
Why am I doing this? Because I CAN. Nyah! -May
Thanks May, but this isn't a day to rejoice. It's a time for mourning. People call it the modern day Pearl Harbor. Today is a day that you will remember for the rest of your life. Where you were, what you were doing, it will always seem like it was yesterday. Even in your worst nightmares, you never imagine that this thing would happen, especially here. Hopefully, this isn't the start of a world conflict. Hopefully it will pass...but the United States will never be the same again.
My prayers and thoughts go out to all who have been affected by the terrible occurences today at the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Putting yourself in the position of some foreigners however, this is a time to rejoice. Why are people here looking for pity from the world when they themselves surely hold negativities towards the "terrorist" nations. I'm not being insensitive, I can't imagine what kind of emotions these people are going through, but...it's just a thought.
4 planes, 266 passengers, 100 dead at the Pentagon, 50,000 people working today at the WTC...Today's date: 911...would you look at that... -Kevin
September 9, 2001
Okay, so I've been too lazy to finish loading up all of Eric's commentary...you'll see them some time soon...I guess...Anyways, if you want to see some pictures go here. Well, school's started, and I'm surviving so far. I'm in driving school too, and my instructor is pretty funny. Just to let you all know, Brett's going to get his license soon (scary...). First day of Chinese school today too, and all four of us are finally in the same class...hahaha... -Kevin
September 2, 2001
Last weekend of summer vacation...aiye, and everyone's probably spending it finishing up homework...this year is going to kill me mentally (stress and sleep deprivation), but hopefully I'll live through it. Wish me luck. -Kevin
August 30, 2001
Starting to put up Eric's commentary to my journal...that'll be interesting. -Kevin
August 28, 2001
Okay, so I added 3 of my journal entries yesterday (here) and I'll add three more every day until I it's all up (I hope you guys enjoy it...it was an interesting experience for me). -Kevin
August 27, 2001
I'm back! Hahaha, and just as I predicted...this site hasn't been touched while I was gone =P. Oh well, I'm adding a journal of my China trip soon, so wait for that. -Kevin
August 7, 2001
Okay guys...in about 9 hours (right now it's 11pm), I'm gonna be on a plane headed for Los Angeles and then Shanghai, so I'll be gone until the 26th (or 27th...dun really remember). Anyways, I hope I survive. -Kevin
P.S. Since I'll be gone for aobut 3 weeks, this site probably won't be updated within that time period either...
August 2, 2001
Okay, okay...I'm not very good at remembering birthdays on the actual day of the birthday (hope that made sense) and that's why I forgot that July 27th WAS THE DAY WE STARTED THIS WEBSITE!!! Yea!!! Now our little ghetto website is 2 years old!!! Another birthday shoutout goes to 20-year-old...MTV =). -Kevin
July 29, 2001
Okay, so this weekend has been a hectic one. As is what usually happens, one week after camp is over, a bunch of us gathered together to make the campbook over the weekend...and we're DONE!!! It's really thick, and we used basically all the pictures. Therefore, when we got down to group pages, there were NO pics to put in (this can also be attributed to the lack of pictures contributed by people other than June, Anita, Tung Shu Shu and another staff member). Oh well, we're done and that's all that matters...reunion on the 18th (where you all will get the campbook)! Oh, and by the way, since the campbook meeting is over, I took a bunch of pics, and also scanned in the ones I took...which all should be up in the near future.
July 21, 2001
WE'RE BAAAAACK...camp is over...sniff...I'll try and get pictures up as soon as possible (that also means I have to hook up my scanner), but until then...make do with these statements from me - bad feng shuei, Brett's flamboyancy, In the Spotlight!, 3 am wake-up, freak machine, China! China!, "I love this commercial!", WMACS...zhen de, zhen de. B7 and Team G Rocks! -Kevin
July 8, 2001
One week until WMACS Summer Camp 2001 rolls around, and I'll try and take some nice photos for you all to see =). Anyways, I started work on Thursday at the American Red Cross (fangk@usa.redcross.org). It's pretty cool, I have my own office and computer and phone and stuff...but I sit at the computer for 4 straight hours filing papers into a database (fun fun fun...). Oh, and I finally got my contacts today =). -Kevin
July 1, 2001
So what's happened in the past week...err...well there was a barbecue Saturday night at Kevin's house so we all chilled there. Oh, and Saturday morning, Brett, Ian, Kevin and our friend Lydia went to Six Flags together. Batwing is sooo awesome, but it wasn't worth waiting like 2 hours in line... Anyways, other than that, Brett's in driving school (he can get his provisional on July 24) and Kevin just recently got his permit...mua ha ha. Okay now, cyuz.
June 25, 2001
Sleep. Wonderful lovely sleep...
June 17, 2001
SUMMER VACATION!!! That's all you need to know =).
June 11, 2001
Wow...last weekend of the school year...Anyways, Kevin and Brett spent it sick (cough/fever) =(, and Terry and Ian spent it losing in volleyball =(. Hahaha, well other than that, Kevin spent the weekend in California attending a cousin's wedding and visiting relatives. Other than that, only four days of exams stand between us...and freedom...
June 3, 2001
Tomorrow, June 4, is Brett's birthday and a day off for Kevin and Terry (because of Senior graduation). So...happy birthday to Brett, and HAHAHA (points and laughs) from Kevin and Terry. Okay, well that's about it. Cyuz.
May 28, 2001
Hope everyone's enjoying their day off. Anyways, on Saturday, Kevin was singing in his chorus' 11th annual concert, and then all four of us played in the chinese school senior volleyball tournament (we got second!!! woohoo!!!). And well, I guess that's about it. Just nine school days until exams start...
May 20, 2001
Updates, updates, updates...well today was the Maryland State Music Teachers Association (Piano) Spring Solo Festival and Kevin got 2nd and Terry got honorable mention (congrats!). In sports, Ian won the chinese school tennis tournament last week, which we forgot to mention. Also, CHINESE SCHOOL'S OVER FOR THE YEAR! WOOHOO!!! Sunday will be free now! Errmm...I guess that's it...besides the stupid high school assessments we have to take this week. Oh well, cyuz.
May 13, 2001
Just some notes for you all...The volleyball season is over and I did NOT end up sitting on the bench all season! I played in two games (against Magruder and Wheaton)! Anyways, moving on to tennis. Ian is the county champion at third doubles (congrats!), and is now participating in the regional tournament. Finally, over the weekend, Brett received 100...yes...100 dollars for placing third in a Mother's Day essay contest (congrats too!). Eh well, that's it...as May said, hope to see you all at camp...there are at most 6 spots left...will you get one of them? =P. -Kevin
May 11, 2001
WMACS is expanding this year to 170 people, so there still might be a few slots open... but fills up quickly. I'm going this year, so's everyone else... I think. Contact the organizers at wmacs_2001@yahoo.com and ask if there's anymore spaces. It's July 15 to 21 this year, and sign up if it hasn't been filled already. We all know you want to attend. -May
April 29, 2001
I'm back from Wallops Island in Virginia and let me say that I had so much fun jumping in a thigh-high pit of detritus, walking into an intertidal cove collecting biological samples, and taking a boat ride doing water testing and navigation. The main thing is that...I SURVIVED!!! -Kevin
April 22, 2001
Thanks to May for cleaning up the page!
April 20, 2001
You guys see a difference? Yes? No? Faster loading time? Huh? I made some changes to the site, mostly just replacing the image rollovers with text mouseovers. Supposedly, it should load faster and save about 3 kb of space. And um... yeah, that's it.
April 19, 2001
BWAHAHAHA! The "Realm of the Four Heroes," can be expanded to include one heroine. Kinda. I'm just visiting. I'll be fixing up the code and stuff since I have nothing better to do and I don't feel like doing my homework. Um... lesse... oh, Terry turned 15 on the 8th, and that wasn't noted... Happy belated birthday! And... that's it. I'll update later. --May, aka Princess Sakura in a Pink Tutu
April 15, 2001
Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Sunday, but sadly spring break is coming to an end (we have to go back to school on Tuesday)...sigh...just one more quarter left... Oh yeah, and you had all better watch out because Brett has his learner's permit now (he had it a few weeks ago, just never said it)!
April 11, 2001
Well, us four have already spent quite alot of time together over SPRING BREAK because of Terry's birthday party at Dave & Buster's and a performance we had at George Mason University (that we found out about at the last minute). Anyways, just ONE MORE QUARTER LEFT AND ITS SUMMER!!!
April 1, 2001
Let me guess, you were expecting some kind of prank today right? Well, too bad, we aren't feeling creative...April Fool's!!! HA...Ha...ha...wait...we don't have anything creative...whatever...Hope you all take your pranks lightly...
March 18, 2001
MSMTA Ensemble Competition was today (piano duets, duos, trios and quartets) and Brett and Kevin did well with two seconds, one third, and one honorable mention between them. However, Terry and Ian didn't fare so well because they...didn't get anything >_<. Oh well, mebbe next year.
March 11, 2001
The rest of the year will be pretty tight for three of us because Brett and Ian are on the Churchill Tennis team and Kevin is on the Blair Volleyball team...wish us luck!
February 20, 2001
Hope everyone had a fun three-day weekend. Ours was spent going to a friend's party, watching "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" on DVD (yes, DVD...from Taiwan), and going to the mall. Well, the next month is going to be pretty boring, so don't expect much.
January 31, 2001
It's the Year of the Snake, exams are over and the second semester has begun...that's about it.
January 21, 2001
Sorry, but the lack of updates is being attributed to EXAM WEEK...AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, we performed at Lakeforest Mall today for the Chinese/Lunar New Year's Celebration and we rocked! =). Oh yeah, everyone had best go to Lakeforest Mall before February 4th and check out the Chinese American Heritage Exhibit between Sears and the center stage. Okay, cyuz. -Kevin
January 6, 2001
Sup everyone, we all had a really fun time last night at the WMACS sponsored dance. We got to reunite with all our pals from camp, as well as have a good time with our other friends that didn't go to camp. Sadly, the night had to end and we all had to depart from our friends, but hopefully we'll see many of them again in July for WMACS Summer Camp 2001!
January 1, 2001
HAPPY NEW YEAR/CENTURY/MILLENIUM!!! (woohoo! first update of the millenium) Hey all, we've made it to the 21st century...ooo...aaa...anyways, did you notice that today is 01/01/01? Pretty neat huh? Okay, okay. Sadly, we have to go back to school tomorrow ( >_< ), but that's life I guess. Cyuz. -Kevin
