Here is a good example :
The hole in the center is the one going into the plastic
tubing.
The other bigger holes are there simply to let light
come up from the hull and light the
particular room. Again the fibers are only used for actual
lamp locations.
The same method is used as the various decks are put together.
Experiment often and light up your model at each step
so as to see if the effect is what you're
after. Always dry fit your decks and light up to see
where the light is missing and where
you want to place it. You can drill the big holes anywhere
provided they are in between two walls.
When the model is completed you wont see these holes
but the light will creep up from the hull
and fill the particular room with a nice ambiant lighting
effect.
