The haunted forest and the witch's castle

The haunted forest is essentially one-way, so just battle through, using the boomerang to hit unreachable switches when necessary. When you enter the castle, make sure you are using your best tactics, as these monsters are much stronger than those faced in the forest. Try to keep control of the newest party member because they will be the weakest. Also watch out for eye spies; these things do high damage to computer controlled characters who keep walking into them (which they always seem to do!). Again, this area is one-way, so continue on, and don't worry about using too many items, as you will have access to a shop before the boss. When you stumble into the prison talk to the still soldier then Neko. Buy everything you can from Neko the next battle is one of the harder battles of the game. Keep control of the newest and equip the spear it should be at level 2 now. Equip the others with the boomerang and sword. After the witch dissapears you will face the spiky tiger. Charge up the spear to level 2 and strike it repeditly. When he jumps up on a platform switch to the boomerang character and attack him. If he uses blaze wall on you quickly switch and use an herb if you follow these steps you should be able to beat him. After you destroy the beast elinee turns back to normal and gives you a whip and 50gp. After you leave luka will tell you to come to the water palace. Use the whip to take the shortcut in eastern side of the forest. Upon returning to the water palace luka will tell you that undine the water elemental is in trouble. Go outside the water palace and to the right to enter her cave.

Undines cave

Outside of undines cave there are iffish they give you large amounts of gp so fight them. Inside more iffish fight them and enter the next room and fight tonpole. After defeating tonpole he will morph into a biting lizard attack from a distance using the whip bommerand and bow. After defeating him undine will grant you her powers and the javelin. Go into the water palace get restored by luka Then cast spells until youre out of mp then talk to luka agian keep doing this until your magic is at level 1. This is a good practice if you have time to spend each time you seal a mana seed. Luka will direct you to the underground palace.

The underground palace

The enemies here are very tough be sure to bring candy chocolate and royal jam also if you can spare the gp buy a farie walnut (which should be saved for the girl). Use the whip to cross the gap about mid-way and push the switches on both sides to open the way. When you come upon the gnome the sprite will hit him a few times then the fire gigas file appear. Quickly cast freeze over and over when he changes into little fire balls heal up and get ready to do it again. His spells get stronger and 2 exploders will end it so cast freeze as much as you can as quickly as possible. After beating the gigas you will find the gnome again he will give you his powers. He gives incredibly useful magic to the sprite be sure to level it up. The magic he gives to the girl however isnt as good after sealing the seed head for pandora or if you want to level up water palace.

Pandoran ruins

Talk to jema in the castle then look for Phanna (the blue haired girl near the ruins) talk to her then go to the ruins. The girl will push the guards out of the way. Before you enter be sure to buy at least two farie walnuts because the boss takes little damage to physical attacks. The enemies in here are very powerful and some of them only die from magic fight them if you like but they will wear you down quickly, and there is a difficult boss at the end of the ruins(they do however give big amounts of exp/gp so if you want to fight them then go back to the inn do so).After wandering through the ruins (another simple path) you will find a group of masked people go up the steps to meet the mage Thanatos. He will mutter a few things, then drop you into a pit to battle his trap wall. If you brought a farie walnut and have level1 gnome this boss should be easy. Earth slide works good but gem missle works almost just as good and it costs less just make sue to cast it on the central eye. After destrying the wall Thanatos will leave and return the town to normal talk to jema and return to the armor shop and buy 3 cobra bracelets youll need these for the next area. Don't forget to stop back in the castle the king will reward you with 3 orbs and a lot of gp. Jema tells you to go the water palace after words.

The scorpion army

As you return to the water palace luka will tell you that the water seed was stolen. Head for gaia's naval (use the shortcut to the village if you'd like, but it never hurts to kill some drops for experience and gold) and enter the huge hole in the center near the elder. Walk through the ship and grab the orb on the way. When you meet up with the scorpion army they will unleash their robot kilroy. Use the javelin and whip against him use cure water and remedy to heal. After destroying kilroy you will recieve the seed and an orb. Have watts forge the new weapons and pick up supplies from neko then head for the water palace prepared to fight.

The water palace again

When you go to enter there will be iffish and water thugs in your way fight them because they give lots of exp. After fighting to the main room you will see empire soldiers with geshtar geshtar is another commander of the empire and is just about as anoying as thanatos when you are given a choice to run of return the mana seed it doesnt matter geshtar will still attack you wth the jaberwocky. Take control of the hero because its easier to cast spells by using x. Have the sprite cast earth slide or gem missle if you want cast defender with the girl this boss is quite easy and you can just as easily beat him with the spear. After beating him the empire soldiers will be gone. Talk to jema to get another orb then seal the seed. Luka will tell you to go to upperland at the cannon near potos but first go back to the dwarve village and forge your weapons also talk the elder to recieve the midge mallet which saves you many herbs. After re-stocking your supplies head to upperland
