It seems to be a long standing tradition on homepages to include a little bit something "About Me", so I decided that I would comlply. Here's a little bit something about me then:
Me, a long Time ago
I was born on May 8th 1969, which seems to me to have been a century ago. I first graced the city of Göttingen in Germany with my presence, though my parents soon moved to Hamburg, where I spent most of my youth.
It was here that I discovered what should quickly become my favourite pasttime, a hobby that would soon come to eat up most of my free time and money: Roleplaying Games.
I still remember the fateful christmas some 15 years ago, when a friend of my brother brought over a new game in a small red box, which his grandperents had just given him as a present. The game involved dragons and hobbits and adventure. I had always loved fantasy and had just finished reading "The Lord of the Rings", now I was hooked. As soon as the stores opened again after the holiday I dug out my money and bought the box myself, about a week later we had reached the 3rd level (the maximum covered it the first D&D box) and the next box in line, the blue one appeared on my shelf. After that, there was no stopping it.
Out first Group
My mother made this picture sometime in the following spring, when we were busy vanquishing monsters and collecting treasue. The guy in the blue shirt is the friend who started it all, the guy in the grey shirt another friend of his (both drifted out of the hobby eventually) the red shirt is my brother and the one on the left withh alle the paperwork is me (I had rather quickly become the gamemaster of our small troupe).
Eventually our family moved to Dortmund where I finished school and started to study computer technology at the university of Dortmund, eventually switching my main study theme to mechanical engineering.
All the while I continued my hobby, meanwhile including related subjects like tabletop gaming, painting miniatures, live action roleplaying and a couple of trading card games.
Me, rather more recently
This picture is a couple of years old. Don't be misled by the guitar, music is one of my more neglected hobbies and I'm neither very good at it nor spend a lot of time with it (my brother is the musician of the family). This picture was just the one of the more recent ones I could find. The most recent picture of me can be found on our Vampire Live Action Page as the character Leia wan Kenobi.
Last year I discovered the Internet and this resparked my interest in computers and programming. Ive been busy ever since to get familiar with Html, CGI-scripts, Protocols and all the other related things.
