Distant Empires |
Distant Empires is
basically an online version of Star
Control 2. This will not include
hyperspace, but wormholes on the edges of
the system to allow ships to transfer
from one solar system to another. This
will allow people to build barricades and
defend at key points. Each Solar System
is hosted on different computers, so the
size of the galaxy is dependant on the
amount of computers hosting this program.
I am planning on people chosing a race
when they login, and if all players are
chosen, then they are just not the main
race (causes war for leadership) Since
people can login later, this game should
not end.

Status:
So far, I
got the hard parts in already. Internet
Communication is next, and wont need to
be quick. I have not designed the client
program yet, but it will be designed
soon. I am going to make my Melee Online
program work with this program, when I
can figure out how to get an accurate
melee without a server (Could use Help
Here)
