Before you read this section, you should know that you should buy the Warhammer Armies books to let you get started collecting your army.

The different armies you can have in the warhammer game are:

The Empire
-- This is my favorite army. It consists of mainly humans. This is the army that I work with. These awesome armies consist of many races, and will conquer what comes between them and victory.

Dwarfs

-- This is my friend's army. The Dwarfs are powerful but slow creatures, just dont get stuck with these guys in hand-to-hand combat! Dwarfs also have many magic items, so watch out!
Undead
-- This is one of the popular armies. The undead derives from sourcerers gone mad and have gotten so obsessed that they sacrifice their own humanity to become treaturous creatures. They raise their own army, collecting skeletons and undead creatures from graveyards.
High Elves
-- Another popular army. The high elves come from the isolated island of Ulthuan, and have left to explore the unknown land. The High Elves may look wimpy, but beleive me, don't underestimate their power. As masters of wizardry and archery, the High Elf army is a deadly threat.
Dark Elves
-- After a disasterous battle with their own race, the High Elves, the Dark Elves were kicked out of the island of Ulthuan, and have, over time, become very evil and obsessed with black magic. Dark Elves live only to conquer over the Old World and take its place at the head of its people.
Skaven
-- Excuse my editorial comment but I, personally think that the Skaven are little cheap peices of **** that only come into battle when the enemy is at a disadvantage. If you disagree, thats fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Orcs and Goblins
-- A very strong and powerful race, this is the army that many people have collected. The Orcs and Goblins live to serve one purpose...to terrorize the Warhammer World. There are many troops to chose from, as they rip apart almost any army that they encounter.
Chaos
BOOM!! The Chaos army, possibly the most powerful and destructive, live in the very north of the Warhammer World. With completely mad creatures they rip apart every army. Often different armies have to ally with each other just to stop these tremendous hordes. The Chaos even almost brought The Empire to the end at one point!
Lizardmen
-- This is one of the new armies. These savage beasts have emerged from the forest to claim what is theirs. Watch out!
Wood Elves
-- The Wood Elves. These Elves are ancesors of the High Elves, but when the High Elves got scared when they found the forests to be fatal, they abandoned their new home and went back to Ulthuan. However, some stayed behind, not willing to leave their peaceful home. These brave Elves have tamed many creatures of the forest, and even use them in battles.
Bretonnia
-- Here come the forces of Bretonnia! Brothers of the Empire, these forces, mostly on horseback, call on the Empire sometimes to defend thier home in times of trouble. Again, these guys may sound wimpy, but dont underestimate them.
Chaos Dwarfs
-- These are Dwarfs turned bad. Obsessed with the conquering of other armies, these creatures search for slaves to use things against their own race.
