The Penang
Chess Association is pleased to announce that it has entered
into a strategic partnership with Dell Computer Corporation
on the promotion of chess in Penang. Dell Computer, an
American company which is listed in the New York Stock
Exchange, is the world leader in the direct marketing of
computers. The heart of Dell Computer's operations in this
part of the world is their Asia Pacific Customer Centre
(APCC) in Penang.
For the next
three years, Dell Computer will be sponsoring the activities
of the Penang Chess Association which is acknowledged to be
one of the most active chess bodies in Malaysia. For the
immediate future, chess players in Penang will be glad to
know that the Penang Dell Chess League will kick off its
10th season in June 2000.
