There are 4 kinds of coins around: coin value short ---------------------------- donnarlin 1 dl norind 20 nr celebel 320 cb tangram 3840 tg The values are in donnarlin. This gives exchange rates 20 donnarlin = 1 norind, 16 norind = 1 celebel, 12 celebel = 1 tangram. The 'count money' command can help with exchange calculations. (See 'help count'.) The coins can be handled by their name or by their short name, for example: <l at tangram> or <l at tg>. The different coin types: Donnarlin: The donnarlin is a little brass coin made by the dwarves of Xorlogosch. The word 'donnarlin' means 'metalwork' in dwarvish. It is the least valuable of all currencies, and also the most frequently used. You can see it practically everywhere in everyday trade. Norind: It is a copper coin minted by the people of Noradim. It was the usual daily payment of a soldier of the Noradim Empire. Today, due to a bit of inflation since the days of the Empire, about two norind is what a typical peasant worker earns in a day. Celebel: The celebel is a coin made by the elves. The meaning of 'celebel' in common language is 'silverstar'. The coin has a beautiful picture of a star on it. In former times it was only used in the lands of the elves, but with the Noradim armies destroying and looting most of the elven cities, its use has spread all over the continent. Tangram: The rich merchants of Tangradim needed a coin with high value. So they created the tangram. It is a gold coin embossed with the picture of the current ruler of Tangradim The coin isn't too much in use because it is very valuable. Most transactions are done in lesser coinage. But if you want to carry or store large amounts of money, the tangram is perfect for that.
