In a world where superheroes only exist in the imaginations of comic books and television shows, four friends find themselves thrust into adventure and intrigue when they are selected by a multi-dimensional demi-god to save the world from its own devastating future.

It was a hot, muggy Thursday in Toronto, Ontario, and Bryce, Samantha, Rachael and Warren are anticipating a long weekend out of the city. When the power fails in the subway, they step through a door that was supposed to be the emergency exit and find themselves in a completely different place. A mystic medallion serves as the key to open a portal to a place beyond space and time where they encounter their benefactor, a being who calls himself the Oracle. He sends each of them to face a specific challenge which draws out the powers they have been endowed with...the powers of the elements themselves...earth, wind, water and fire.

In preparation for the task ahead of them, they are sent forward in time ten years to experience a post-nuclear nightmare that could be mankind's if these new heroes don't prevent it.
