Flare Star

January 9, 1999
It is the year 1999. A prince named Cid was watching the sky, noticing rain clouds. He thought it would be normal rain. But nobody would ever know what "rain" was coming...
"Hey, Cid!" I asked him. "Watcha lookin' up there for?"
"I dunno... looks like a storm..."
"So?"
"I have a feeling it's gonna be strange."
It came is a little bit: the biggest RAIN anybody ever saw: a "rain" of FIRE! I dunno how long it was before it was done. 10? 20? ONE? Whatever, it seemed like an hour. When it was over, the town was is RUINS. My house was gone! I knew who did it: The Empire. Emperor Sony and General Sega. Just as they were planning...

January 15, 1999
The town is better. Now I wonder if I like my life. Should I stay here, or go to the Land of Orb and destroy Emperor Sony? Nah, they would kill me. Or... yes, I should. I'll call Cid and Sam right now!
"Cid?"
"Yeah?"
"This is Ian. I need your help."
"Need a strong guy to carry all that weight of the rubble?"
"No, I'm going to the Land of Orb and DEFEAT Sony! It caused the flare star!"
"...OH... oh fine."
I called Sam next.
"Sam, will you come to the Land of Orb with me? Sony caused the flare star!"
"All right, an adventure... defenently!"
