    Description/Image:

Pale brown, almost blonde hair shot through and through with a rich honey red frames the innocent looking face and hangs like a cloak around her lean 3'5" form, almost to her thighs. Two top sections are caught in green beads to hold the hair from her face yet still let it fall and flow freely with the rest. Her skin is an even golden brown, the color rich and complemented by the fire in her hair. Her eyes are a dark shade of green, large and framed by soft brown lashes, in the deep of the green flit specks of pale sunlit green and a misty blue-grey. A finger width leather strip decorated with a golden token, dangling a feather and a claw hugs close around her neck. Hanging loosely from her shoulders the hem of her top skims just below her breast leaving her stomach bare to the dipped front of her skirt and hanging down over her bottom in the back. Her skirt is something else entirely, splitting in a large downward V from the wide yoked waist, the dipped front exposing her navel. Each side falling away to the knee length back of the skirt. A small flap hanging between the sides just to the tops of her thighs leaving her long legs bare to almost the ankle. A bracelet on one wrist of wood and braided leather, on the other is a bracer extending almost to her elbow,. Above that a gold armband winds around her arm like a serpent, the head that of a panther. Small boots rise close just above her ankle, the shaft just long enough to slip a small dagger into the bootsheath.

    Background:

Born to Reina and Heldin in the jungles of the Forevergreen, Caliph was first named Nesali by her older sister. This she remained through her youth and into the first season of her posting to the sentry position on the edge of the savannah. Her childhood was spent stalking and wrestling, learning the skills of the hunt and learning to use the bow, staff and dagger. Her sister would often distract her with games, drawing her from the practice into kitling games of hide and find or setting a trick that would send young Nesali clambering through the treetops to catch the offending older sibling.

Maturing into her hunting skills and becoming a sentry, she took a new name upon her return to the tribe, naming herself Caliph. She never felt the need to leave the jungles, her place at the sentry line giving her the opportunity to meet many strange elves. Her parents lovemating was a great example of the love that could thrive between two, and though her parents were very different they had found a way to make their lives intertwine. She mirrors her older sister's love of life and her joy at just existing in the jungles, though she has yet to go much beyond the first tentative forays into the realm of mating. Having always been more focused on her hunting or holding the sentry post.

Now she returns from yet another season on the line of the sentrys, just in time for the festival it seems, a thing she has missed for many turns. She plans to exercise her love for dancing now that she is in a season of relax. She spends many turns like this until one day another of the tall pale strangers comes into the camp. This one apparently seeking the first, the one who arrived with the wolfrider, the one called Tarrant. Seeking him and calling him father...

She was assigned to guard this second stranger, the one not even trusted by his own father, the one called Kain. At first it is nothing but an assignment though she finds him far more attractive than she has ever found any of her tribemates. She can't seem to keep her mind on her duties for thinking of how his skin would feel, or what he would say if she sought him in his furs during the long days. Soon she couldn't resist and she had to know.

Before she knew it she was falling in love and she had no idea how he felt, and wasn't he leaving. Oh what mess had she gotten herself into? As time would soon tell he cared for her as well, so deeply that when it came time to leave he couldn't even lie to her vocally and make her hate him. He cried and tried to lie but she could read it in everything he did, in the way he spoke of what some other made him do. His duty. She knew he loved her then and she told him in a quiet send of her true feelings, with tears slipping down her cheeks as she walked away.

Soon after all hell broke loose, Kain's father and his lifemate, the catelf Xarisa who had recognized Teronin, her tribemate, were missing. Soon word came from Sweetair that they were taken by Kain and a band of Underworlders. Cali seemed to be the only one that understood, this was the hated duty that her love had spoke of before he left her side. Somehow she knew he would return to her no matter the cost.
