Background:
Kandra is a mere 100 turns old atm, but those turns have an exciting if sometimes sad story behind it.
Kandra was born 2nd daughter to Jornak and Forear, both having decendants of western catelf heritage. Her sister, Crynda, was only a few turns older than Kandra, which in some ways made Kandra special to her parents. In Kandra's first few turns when her parents taught her the skills neccesary for the jungle, Crynda was jealous of Kandra for all the attention given to Kandra and would often pull Kandra's brown locks or push her into the small pools of water that Kandra occasionaly would find and ponder at.
During this time Kandra was showing signs of becoming a great huntress and an even better weapons maker. She could make a sharp well balanced arrow head and use it as well. This also gained her praise from her parents and would occasionaly send Crynda into fits where she would try to best Kandra. Kandra (being very gentle) would try and calm Crynda or try negotiating with her sister, when this didn't work Kandra ignored the pullings and pinchings and pushings.
When Kiera noticed Kandra's hunting skills and began to take her on personaly to teach her, that blew Crynda over the top and she would not even speak or acknowledge her sister for some time.
Over time Crynda became less jealous as she found other, more interesting, things to occupy her time . Soon Kandra came to actually know the person who was her sister. Kandra grew quickly into the role as an efficient huntress, occasionaly catching enough meat on her own to feed her family at night. Kandra took great pride that Kiera thought she was worthy of her teachings and did everything in her power to make Kiera even more proud of her pupil.
After Kandra became self-sufficient and moved into a den of her own her parents had yet another child, Teearr. Kandra, not wanting to put Teearr through what Crynda had her, became very much involved in Teearr's weapons and hunting training, she was kind and helpful, when he would loose his temper over a flawed arrowhead or dagger blade she was there to point out the good things and what he could do to fix the damage or how to notice such things before they occur.
As she grew older and more dedicated to her hunting and weapons making skills she also grew kinder at heart towards the others in the tribe, but now she is worried as her sister talks of rebellion and leaving for the western lands. She worries that her sister is to Rash, that after just a few dissagreements with chieftess Kiera she shouldn't just run away like some kit who didn't get its way. But she knows that fate will do what it does and she will do her best to suvive what may come of it...(to be Continued)
