THE BATTLE SQUARE

Welcome to the Battle Square! Here you'll find all sorts of things to help you with your fightinig technique.

Within the Battle Square is a fighting arena where the best fighters compete aginst monsters for prizes. Only one of your characters is allowed to enter the arena at once. The words around the floor on the areana read "The Brave Do Not Fear The Grave".

When competing in the battle square, it's essential that you have certian items. First, make sure the ribbon is equipped to the character who will be participating. The Time materia as well as Cure and Counter Attack or Counter paired with something. Hero Drinks also help immensely.

The full match consists of the Character fighting eight enemies or groups of enemies in increasing difficulty. After each fight a random handicap is chosen by a slot machine. Possible handicaps include 1/2 speed, Any or all kinds of materia disabled, Time x30 Damage, varying status effects, weapon, armor or accessory broken, half HP, MP or both, Down 5 or 10 levels, cures all HP, and no handicap.

If you sucessfully complete all eight fights, you'll recieve Battle points in accordance with your performance. If you save up enough BP, you can get a prize from the machines, but beware, if you leave the Battle Square your points become invalid. Prizes available include Remedy (100), Enemy Lure Materia(250), Right Arm (500), Pre-Emptive Materia (1000), Regan Greens (2000), Speed Plus Materia (4000), Stardust (8000), Championship Belt (16,000), Omnislash Limit (Limit one) (32,000) and W-Summon Materia (limit one) (64,000).
