Personally, i don't condone cheating, but if you want to, you're only hurting yourself. Enjoy.

The first thing to do is to make a shortcut to the hl.exe file.

Next, edit the path of the file and add "-console" to the end of it. It should look something like this: C:\program files\half-life\hl.exe -console

Now, start up the game from the shortcut. After creating either a single or multiplayer game, hit the "tilda" key in the top left corner of your keyboard. It should have these two symbols: ~ `

After hitting the "tilda" key, the console should slide down from the top of the screen. When it does, type in: sv_cheats1
This is to enable the codes.

Finally, you can start entering codes. Here is a short list of some:
