Right now the entire GDS clan is just in it's infancy stage but there will come a time that we will grow in numbers and when it does come we will need members to spearhead certain groups of members. Now since CCIII is practically still new, Case's Ladder is also new with few registered ladder members (a little over than 140 active members) so this means that there will be lesser players to compete with. This also means that you can easily climb the ladder sooner than expected. So when you do compete, hopefully you will reach a certain rank in the ladder and will mean you will be eligible for promotion.

Now the promotion for higher ranks is based on what rank you were able to climb on the ladder. There will be certain ranks in the ladder that will be the basis for promotion. For example, Top 10 players are high ranking officers, what if your a captain (no.2 in cases ladder) and you want to be major (currently no.1, doesn't matter if he is a GDS clan member or not) then? Well you must try to beat your commanding officer or anyone who holds that rank.

If you ever win you will be promoted to Major also and now counts as one of the high-ranking officers. Your promotion will be announced in the News section of the website and also you will be contacted (ICQ or E-mail) by the council for your re-assignment to a new division or team (recon, mortar units or light inf. units etc.). You will now have the right to select your own new members or to spearhead your own unit, you will be allowed to pull PVTs from the pool. This will come with great responsibility, as the unit officer, you are responsible for the members you are going to pick from the pool for your unit. Meaning, you will rally them to play the ladder more often (same goes to you) and be active. They will report to you and you will report to the council about your units status.

When your units compete in the ladder, every kill (every time they beat someone) of every member of your unit will be counted. So the more kills your units make the better because this will be a basis for medal recommendations. Your task now is to make them report to you their confirmed kills. You can then verify those kills at case’s (simply looking at the members history of games). You and your unit(s) will then have your own "special page". It will display all the statistics of your performance, very much similar to CCIIIs soldiers menu.
