Wren has been well represented in the Hall of Fame since its beginning, with his well known and famous representations of the Chrysler Building which he co produced with another author, his Statue of Liberty, and his Trans-America Building,all of which have long been recognized in the Hall of Fame. In fact, it could be said that Wren is much under represented here at the Hall of Fame, as compared to that which would be deserved when looking back at SCURKS History. It was many of Wren's earlier SCURKS that inspired many of us, me included, to try producing SCURKS for ourselves. Many of his SCURKS have become standards as a part of most peoples .mif and .til sets. In fact I have often seen Maxis credited with some of Wren's work. These unrecognized SCURK standards include many buildings from his early sets, his great image of Tiger Stadium, his Space ship substitutes for the traditional airplanes in SimCity 2000, and the list could go on forever. This month's Hall of Fame winner, The Chicago Stadium, has appeared as part of some Maxis sets, and indeed is the obvious inspiration for the SimCity 3000 version of the Chicago Theatre that is part of SimCity 3000, and is the one of the feature buildings in the SimCity 3000 introductory sequence as the game is being booted up. Wren has made many contributions to SimCity, and as anyone involved with SimCity soon knows, continues to be the driving force for support of the SimCity Games via his one of the best Game Sites on the internet, The SimCity Resource Pages at http://sc3000.com/sc2000.
