Well we've talked about it for ages and now at last are starting it!   We are excited about Gods Word and want to study it and encourage each other to keep studying and growing. What better to do than study the words of our Lord Jesus! Lets all go through from Matthew onwards looking particularly at what Jesus has said and study that and apply it to our lives, what powerful lives we could lead for Him!
We all can have the best intentions, and I for one know that I can talk the good talk, but its vital to walk the walk too.  With this email bible study we can be accountable to each other and encourage each other as we see the studies done by others.  Email is something most of us check every day or every few days and so its a brilliant way to keep in touch also, even if we're far apart. I really hope this encourages all of us.  The beauty of this is that the more people that join in the better, there's no limit to how this could work! We could send to our own friends and really try and encourage people.
If we each, once a week, study through a passage and learn what Jesus' words are there and explain them and see how we can apply them to our lives, and send it in reply to whoever has sent you one, then say there are 3 of us sending to each other - 3 times a week we will read and hear the same words of Jesus and also get 2 other peoples personal input on them! I don't know about you but this seems an amazing way to get things into our all too often thick heads!
We can then also if we want combine the studies people make and get a really good bible study outline made, which would be helpful if any of us lead other bible studies in the future ;-)

Vital thing to remember - WE HAVE TO PRAY! We need to always be asking God for his wisdom that we might truly understand His Word. Lets also pray for each other. That's something I'm learning deeply now, the power of prayer and the value of Christian brothers and sisters! Lets keep each other strong!
