Rules
No violence
- This includes rape, murdering, beating people up, etc.
No ignorance, or intolerance.
- Learn to type.
- If you get pregnant - stay pregnant the whole 9 months. Don’t "speed up time" and have the baby in one.
No deaths of the character, or the characters family unless it happens in real life.
- This includes miscarriages if they become pregnant, over and over again, or just because you have a lack of a storyline. These people are HUMAN. Don't shove their life lessons all in a month or something.
Your characters aren't stupid, even though you might be.
- Please... Your characters are real people. Just play them human, and play them, as you honestly believe they are. Their decisions are left up to you for the major part, but just keep in mind... This is not an alternate universe role-play community (for the most part), and just think about things - would your character honestly do some of the things that you'll make them? Just be smart, and use common sense.
- We came from a community that if you sneezed, you were gay. So lets try to limit the slashyness unless you have a viable reason to think the people are gay. Obviously JC could be.. but snoop dogg.. Uh. No.
Give your character a sense of self; a story line, and interact...
- You need to update your character journal with a REAL update (i.e. not just, "Hi, I'm alive, comment me!") at least once every two weeks. If you go two weeks without updating, and we hear about it, or find out – you're out of the community. Let's not waste space, or keep people from playing the character if you can't play them yourself. If you'll be on vacation? Drop a note in the Maintainers journal (Governor's Journal), or in the TT_IRL Community.
Official junk:
- If you'd like to join, comment the maintainers journal (Governor's Journal), and leave info like what character you'd like to play, your past RP history, etc. We WILL get back to you. Mention it if a friend told you to come – and what character they play.
- If you need help with icons, comment the maintainers journal (again, Governor's Journal), and they'll help you out by putting it in the "official" updates that you need help, and will ask people to do so for you.
- Icons don't HAVE to be 100x100 but they MUST be high quality, and they MUST be of your character. No blurry, or squished icons that no one can make out. No obscene nudity, either.
- If we get a complaint from any other community maintainers that you're stealing icons, VERY original storyline, or anything else in the matter, and we check it out, and find it's true, or at least very, very, suspicious what with all the "similarities"? You’re out. Sorry, but be mature. We refuse to be the community with all the crazies.
- It's perfectly fine to have more than one character – as long as you do them both justice. Don't do shitty updates if you "don't have enough time" to concentrate on both. Give one up, and let the maintainer (Governor's Journal) know. If you don't, and we notice that you're doing crap as the character – we'll talk to you about it.
- All Tinsel_Town related communities MUST be approved by the maintainer. Just drop a note in the journal.. we will see it, and we will most likely okay it. It's just best to check.
- All long entries MUST be lj-cutted. No one likes a huge flooded friends page.
- If you do quizzes or anything like that? Put the results behind lj-cuts! If you don't know how – ask!! SO many people would love to help you out.
- You may NOT join as a parent, sibling, child, or any other 'family member' or 'friend' of a celebrity, if you are not famous yourself. If you WOULD like to join as a family member of some type - you need to have the permission OF the celebrity that your character is a family member of, and I need to confirm that approval.
Read them. Understand them. Follow them. :-*
