Pastor's Corner
Tis the Season once again for us to celebrate our Savior's birth. Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. It is a time that we remember the greatest gift that God ever gave to mankind, the gift of His son.Yet, too many people have lost the focus on what the true meaning of CHRISTmas is. The world is too busy pushing *buy, buy*, *on sale*, people standing in line days before or hours just to get the *hot new toy*. People have taken the CHRIST of CHRISTmas and have put the focus on *ME* *ALL I WANT* *SELFISH*. We should be celebrating Jesus, family and being together. Jesus gave us the ultimate gift, He Gave His Life for us. That is what we should be celebrating, and not just on Christmas, but everyday of the year. STOP, take time and see what is most important about this holiday season.
All I want for Christmas is to include Christ once again, for I know that it's only right, and we can start by taking the X out of Xmas, and adding
C H R I S T, as in CHRIST!!
But it's not just in its wording, be it Xmas or Christmas, nor the voice in which it's heard; it's more about how we act that counts, for "actions speak louder than words".
Santa and his reindeers are enjoyed by all; this indeed is true. But never forget the "Infant In The Manger", who gave his life for you.
It's so easy to get caught up in the moment, with the many packages underneath our tree, along with the twinkling lights, topped with a star shining bright, but still.......there's something missing for me.
Celebrate the season; enjoy its every worth!! Gather family-n-friends 'round you, but first......celebrate our Savior's Birth.
For Xmas is much like a season, it's likened to an hourglass. Its fix is temporary; its ending, much too fast. But, Christmas is everlasting.
There's no longer a need for strife, for because of our Savior's birth, death, and resurrection, we've been promised Eternal Life. So have yourself a Merry Christmas, and may all of your Christmas' be bright, and they will if you keep your priorities in order; the first being C H R I S T, as in CHRIST. "Keep Christ in Christmas"

Have a Blessed Christmas from Pastor Jerry and Miss Darlene
