Dog Happy Endings

Treasure

Treasure was found by tourists in an unpopulated area and taken to a local vet, where she was determined "unadoptable".  She was an older dog in desperate need of grooming, covered with hot spots and had a seemingly broken spirit. Our staff member returned the next day, determined to rescue her. She planned to clean Treasure up and foster her until a home could be found. Well, Treasure never left her foster home! Our staff member adopted her and she is happily followed by Treasure wherever she goes. You may very well find her greeting visitors to the shelter, as she is here. She likes to sit in the box of newsletters. Do you think she is trying to tell folks something?!

Sully

Sully was a long time resident. He is missing half the foot from his right rear leg. He is getting grey in the face and it was feared that no-one would ever want this dog's love. Well, Sully finally has a home! Some folks drove 3 hours to come and get this special fellow. He had been at the shelter so long he was pretty much the mascot. There were plenty of tears all around when he went in the car with his new special family!

Falcon

Falcon was found running loose in a dump. She was half starved and wouldn't come near anyone. She was finally caught after more than a week of persistence. Falcon was terrified of people! It took her about a month to start to trust anyone. She wouldn't even take a treat from your hand, although you could tell that she wanted to very much. After alot of love and personal attention, she finally started to trust again. She was adopted by a family who could provide all kinds of loving attention.
