| 1. Charizard + Venusaur
Venusaur's (Base Set) Pokemon Power Energy Trans works perfect
with Charizard's (Base Set) Pokemon Power Energy Burn. Turning the
Grass energy from Venusaur into Fire energy allows Charizard to use
his 100 damage Fire Spin Attack more than once without waiting a turn
to put on more energy.
| 2. Alakazam + Tentacool
With Tentacool's (Fossil Set) Pokemon Power energy
Trans allows you to pull Tentacool back into your hand once a turn.
Along with Alakazam's (Base Set) Pokemon Power Damage Swap you can put
some unwanted damage counter on Tentacool and use Cowardice to pull
him back and get rid of the damage. There is one catch tough,
Tentacool can't use an attack unless you put water energy in your deck
and you can only use his power once in a turn.
| 3. Alakazam + Chansey
Chansey with 120 HP and Alakzam's Pokemon Power Damage
Swap is just plain old good stall type combo.
| 4. Wigglytuff + Challenge!*
Challenge! is a trainer card that lets you and your
opponent to fill their bench with their favorite Basic Pokemon, and the
more Pokemon on the bench the better for Wigglytuff's Do The Wave
attack which does 10 damage plus 10 more damage for each Pokemon on
your bench.
| 5. Venusaur + Blaine's Charmander(Gym Heroes)
Blaine's Charmander Kindle attack makes you discard one
energy card attached to him, but it doesn't say what kind of energy you
have to discard. So with Venusaur's Pokemon Power you can use the
attack over and over by discarding energy cards.
| 6. Blastoise + Super Energy Removal* + Energy Retrieval*
First you draw a couple Super Energy Removals and a
Energy Retrieval and about 2 to 5 water energy cards attached to your
Active Pokemon (make sure that there is enough to power up his best
attack). Then you should probably have Blastoise as you active pokemon
or some other kind of powerful water type Pokemon. Then use the 2
Super Energy Removals and discard 4 of your opponents energy cards, but
then you have to discard 2 of your own energy cards. Remember, you can
only discard water energy cards for this trick to work. After that
then you must use the the Energy Retrieval to trade in a card to take
back the 2 energy cards you discarded into your hand. Then you use
Blastoise's Pokemon Power Rain Dance and reattach the the 2 water
energy cards to your Active Water Pokemon and then take out the
Defending Pokemon with you best attack. With this trick you can discard
all 4 energy cards on one of you opponents Pokemon or 2 on two
different Pokemon.
| 7. Charizard + Double Colorless Energy
Charizard's Pokemon Power Energy Burn allows you to
turn all Energy cards into Fire Energy cards. So use 1 or 2 Double
Colorless Energy cards and attack within one or 2 turns.
| 8. Ditto + Double Colorless Energy
Ditto and use its Pokemon Power Transform to change
itself into the Defending Pokemon, and Double Colorless Energy cards
are just a quick way of power up Ditto so you can match up against any
opponent.
| 9. Scyther + Misty's Tentacruel
With Scyther's no retreat cost and the ability to go in
any type of deck it works well with Misty's Tentacrual's Pokemon Power
Flee. Misty's Tentacruel is a great pokemon, but is even better when it
doesn't have to worry about Status affects like Asleep, Confused,
Paralyzed, or Poisoned. So with the power of Flee it can have Scyther
take in all of those unwanted Status attacks.
| 10. Scyther + Dark Alakazam
Dark Alalkazam's first attakck that does 30 damage
allows him teleport back on the bench and have someone else to take whatever
your opponent does to you. What you do is use Teleport Blast from Dark
Alakazam and pull out Scyther to replace him and on your next turn
retreat and bring out Dark Alakazam. You can keep doing this until
Scyther is Knocked Out.
| 11. Computer Search* + Nightly Garbage Run*
Computer Search allows you to search your deck for
anything you want for a cost of 2 cards to take a trip to the Discard
pile. Then you can play Nightly Garbage Run to put 3 cards form you
Discard pile and put them back into you deck to be used later.
| 12. Blastoise + Super Potion* + Energy Retrieval*
Just like before first you draw a couple Super Potions
and a Energy Retrieval and about 2 to 5 water energy cards attached to
your Active Water Pokemon (make sure that there is enough to power up
his best attack). When your high HP water Pokemon has about 8 damage
counters on it, and then use the 2 Super Potions and get rid of 8 of those
damage counters, but then you have to discard 2 of your own energy
cards. Remember, you can only discard water energy cards for this
trick to work. After that then you must use the the Energy Retrieval
to trade in a card to take back the 2 energy cards you discarded into
your hand. Then you use Blastoise's Pokemon Power Rain Dance and
reattach the the 2 water energy cards to your Active Water Pokemon and
then take out the Defending Pokemon with you best attack. With this
trick you can stay in the battle a bit longer so you can do some more
damage to you opponent.
| 13. Blaine's Arcanine + Energy Retrieval* + Blaine*
Blaine's Arcanine has the most powerful attack in the
game but once you use it probably won't be able to use it again. But
with the help of Energy Retrieval and the trainer card Blaine you can
use it one to four more times. Because you have to discard 3 Fire
Energy cards in order to use the attack you really need some of those
energy back. That is where Energy Retrieval comes in, and you can get
back 2 of the three and then assuming you have another Fire Energy card
in your hand you can use Blaine and attach the 2 you picked back up and
on your next turn you can play down one more Fire Energy card and take
out another pokemon.
| 14. Venusaur + Pokemon Center*
Venusaur is a lot like Alakazam except he can move
around energy instead of damage. So you take all of your Grass energy
that is attached to all of your Pokemon that have damage counters on it
and put them on a Pokemon that doesn't, and then use the Pokemon Center
to get rid of all of the damage. After that you can move the Grass
Energy to any Pokemon you want.
| 15.
Acitve Pokemon + Promo Venusaur on the bench
Hate Status effects. Well I sure do, and I always
don't seem to have enough Full Heals. So I get out my Promo Venusaur
and just keep him on the bench. Promo Venusaur's Pokemon Power Solar
Power acts just like a Full Heal, you can only use the Pokemon Power
once a turn. Still you can use it as often as you like.
| 16. Venusaur + Exeggutor
Exeggutor can do a lot of damage as long as he has the
energy on him to do it. So when you finnaly bring out Exeggutor you
can put all of your already attacded energy and just put it on
Exeggutor with Venusaur's Pokemon Power and then use Eggsplosion to do
major damage as long as you get heads a bunch of times.
| 17. Alakazam + Chansey + Pokemon Center* or Scoop Up*
Very similar to number 14 Combo except take most of the
damage counters on your pokemon and try to put as many as you can and
out them on a Pokemon with the highest HP and no or little energy on
it. Then you can use Pokemon Center or Scoop up if it is a Basic
Pokemon and get rid of all of the damage on that pokemon. This trick
works best when you use Chansey as the Basic Pokemon to use the Pokemon
Center and/or Scoop Up on.
| 18. Enery Flow* + Blastoise
Use Energy Flow to pick back up some Water Energy from
a Pokemon that is about to be Knocked Out and reattach them to a Water
type Pokemon with Blastoise's Pokemon Power.
| 19. Call For Family~ + Wigglytuff
Many Pokemon have the attack called Call For Family, I
suggest using that until you fill your bench, and then bring out
Wigglytuff and do 60 damage to your opponent.
| 20.
Blastoise + Energy Flow* + Pokemon Center*
Similar to 18 Combo except you need to use Pokemon
Center after you use Energy FLow and before you use Blastoise's Pokemon
Power, and get rid of all of that damage.
| 21.
Charizard + Recycle Energy
When you use Charizard's Fire Spin attack you have to
discard two energy cards, so you should discard a couple of Recycle
Energy. When Recycle Energy is discarded you can bring it back from
the discard pile and put it back into your hand to be used again. So
from now on you don't have to worry about losing all of your energy
when you have a couple Recycle Energy on Charizard.
| 22.
Mew + Areodactyl
Do you like to stop your opponent from using his
evolution cards. Then this is the trick for you. With Areodactyl you
can stop your opponent from evolving, but what if he/she has already
evolved. Now you use Mew's Devolution Beam to bring them down to their
lower forms.
| 23.
Moive Promo Mewtwo + Computer Search*
This trick only works when you have at least 3 Psychic
Energy cards in your hand as well as Mewtwo and Computer Search. First
play down Mewtwo as you Active Pokemon and attach 1 of the 2 Psychic
Energy cards to him. Then play Computer Search and discard the other 2
Psychic Energy cards and pick anything you want out of your deck.
Finally you use Mewtwo's Energy Absorbtion attack and put the 2 Energy
you discarded onto Mewtwo and now you are ready to do 40 damage to the
defending pokemon on your next turn.
| 24.
Dark Vileplume + Lass*
With this team you can basically stop your opponent
from using Trainer Cards. Dark Vileplume's Pokemon Power doesn't allow
any trainer cards to be used, and Lass, even though it is a Trainer
card, you can still get rid of you opponents trainer cards then put
down Dark Vileplume. So if you opponent is using about 20-30 trainer
cards, then mess up all of his/her plans of using trainer cards with
this team.
| 25.
(Nintendo Power) Mewtwo + Gengar
A great way to damage to your opponent's bench is to
combine the attack Telekinesis from Mewtwo and the Pokemon Power
Curse from Gengar. Just make sure that you swicth your opponent's
damage aroud before you use the attack.
| 26.
Meganium (Lv. 57) + Venusaur
Meganium's Pokemon Power Wild Growth can double the
amount of Grass Energy attach to your Grass Pokemon, and Venausaur's
Energy Trans can work hand in hand to use less energy to power of your
Grass Pokemon's attacks.
