Important! All bookings must be reconfirmed for next term. All bills must be fully paid before bookings will be taken for next term.

Last one for this term. Is it really the end of term 3 2001 already. Is it really 2001. We have a new staff member and quite a few new enrolments. Next term we may be full on some days so if you are considering a permanent booking then it could be wise to do it. We want all parents to reconfirm bookings for next term so that we know exactly where we’re at from day 1 term 4. Obviously previous bookings this term will be given priority if we don’t have enough places for all but please book your children in for next term ASAP. The best time to reconfirm your booking is on a Monday or Wednesday between 9 and 12 noon when Mel is in the office.

Liz, that’s our new staff member, Liz Ertler, is a musician and this has prompted us to make MUSIC the theme for the beginning of next term. We will be making instruments and we will find many other ways to seek out the musician in all the children.

Please update all details if anything has changed since filling in enrolment forms. Incorrect phone numbers can cause real problems. Also we don’t have all dates of birth.

Hi,

My name’s Liz (another one) Ertler and I'm working as assistant child carer on Monday and in the supervisory role on Thursday and Friday. I completed my ASC certificate at TAFE a couple of years ago and have been working with children in the area ever since. I am also a musician and play in various performance groups around town and I'm part of a collective who organise family nights at the Scarborough Wombarra Bowling club We’ve just started running the children’s talent quest – ask me about it if you’re interested.

Next term we are planning to focus on music as a theme so if you or your children have any ideas or wishes please let me know, I’d love to hear.

Another successful café was held to farewell Geri. She really appreciated her gifts and a good afternoon was had by all even though intense and stressful for staff with children being so excited.

I have done a web site for After School Care as part of a course I am doing at TAFE. It contains the information on the pamphlet together with the newsletter and policy document. I will soon publish this on a free Web Hotel. The address will be published in the next news letter.

I have prepared a full ranging policy document covering everything from policy on sun protection to fee collection. It will be published on the web site but if you would like to borrow a copy in the mean time by all means ask. It would be too expensive to give out a copy to all parents as it is a 40 page document. Thirroul Neighbourhood Centre’s After School Care Policies are based on a standard model for all after school care centres in NSW.

The Neighbourhood Centres popular holiday program is on as usual and bookings will be taken from Friday 21^st September. Remember it's important to book early as it will get booked out.
