HOME

My children's grandmother always wanted a picture of all the grandkids together, so we had them taken and had a plaque made for her and added grandpa Moore in it with them. I wrote a poem to go with it.  This is very special to many people, so to all of you this one is for you.

This might be hard to accept for some
To the grandkids it may seem like home
After you open this and if by chance
Perhaps maybe even on the very first glance
Your feelings want to show
Just let your tears flow
We will try
Not to cry
Max asked Darlene to be his wife
He loved her all of his life
Even if Max Jr. and Doug have to drive a junker
They will follow their fathers footsteps and always be a trucker
Every fathers dream is to have a daughter
Ann was born and daddy finally got her
Max knew someday he would have to give his only baby girl away
Bill Lafferty asked him if he could have her hand in marriage someday
Max now has two new daughter-in-laws he never met before he went
And they gave him four granddaughters that even perhaps maybe the angels above sent
He got to know and was able to hold
His grandchildren that are now a little bit old
For his grandchildren born after eighty-four
He might lead them to the door
To all of us he can't ever ever be replaced
In each of our hearts he has a special place
When it was his time to go
For many it was hard letting go
But at night when we all see a star shining bright
He's letting us all know he was guided to the light

On this Christmas day of 1992 this is given to our grandma Moore, and in memory it is dedicated to our grandpa Moore.  From and love Dawn,Raymond,Dougie,Billy L,Shawn,Billy Q,Kimberly,Berton,Teddy,Jennifer,Nikky,Missy,Tiffani.
