A little note to my daughter Jen; It amazes me how you never showed fear until you were starting to go under with medication. A huge big tear came running out of your right eye, and the nurse said to you,( You are making mom cry.) I had already been crying and didn't want you to know. You must have been scared to death, for I know I was. As I wiped your tear away and was leaving the room I prayed; Dear god this child has been through so much I'm scared to ask what next? Please watch over her and the doctors during this surgery, and should something go wrong please Dr. Shrader, help guide her towards the light because, she is an angel lent to us from heaven above.

We would like to give our greatest thanks to those who have been with us through Jen's surgery. First of all would like to thank; Dr. Shrader for doing her surgery and talking us through things we didn't understand. We were scared to death on having our 12 year old daughter going through such a surgery like this. To all the doctors that were in the operating room, thanks for taking care of her and watching over her, when we left her in your care. To the nurses at Children's Hospital in Akron; We were blessed that we had you to help care for Jen. We couldn't have done it without all of you. To our family and friends; Thanks for being there for us, and keeping us in your prayers. To a special friend called Mike thanks for getting us there and back home safe during Jen's hospital stay. Boy what a week, the worst of the winter. A special thanks to the staff at the Mc Donald's House for making our stay comfortable. To another special friend, Shawn, thanks for keeping the kids, the dog, and watching over the house while we were gone. Thanks to all the people who sent cards or gifts to Jen. Thanks from all of us to the teachers and staff at Claymont Middle School, also Jen's tutor; thanks for helping her through this. To a special friend of Jennifer's, I want to say thanks to Jessica, for being there for Jen to talk to before and after surgery. You are her best friend. Thanks to two stores in our hometown who allowed us to put a donation can in the store. We appreciated it, and what was collected sure helped us out, also to anyone who donated even if just a penny, it help us with traveling expense to get Jen to the doctors and hospital. Thanks so much, if I have forgotten anybody I'm truely sorry. |
