Biography
Hello world and welcome to my webpage. I have mainly built this for me, a bit like a diary, but feel free to have a look around.
So this is the part where I tell you a little about myself. I completed an Undergraduate dual degree (two fields Chemistry and dbl major Maths) at the University of Queensland. I then decided to do honours in Chemistry, which I finished halfway through 2007. I'm currently in the middle of planning a major world trip as a reward, before I decide what to do with my life.
I moved up to Brisbane from Canberra in 2000 and had a whole lot of fun renovating my apartment. My Mum, Dad, Opa (German for Grandpa) and I refer to it as the week of hell. I recall one night at dinner, when we finally shoved things aside on the cluttered kitchen bench to make room for the microwave, and our exhausted silence was ironically contradicted by the cheerful 'bing' of the microwave. We all looked at each other with "No it didn't" expressions. We worked until we fell asleep, but it was well worth it in the end.
You may ask: Why the University of Queensland? (I get it all the time). Basically, I originally had wanted to do Veterinary Science, which I couldn't do in Canberra. I didn't get straight into Veterinary Science (needed 99% or above), but after a short holiday to look at UQ's campus I was hooked, so I started with a Science/Arts degree hoping to swap at the end of the year. I realised I wouldn't have the heart to do veterinary, but I loved it in Brisbane, so I stayed. I will always have a love of animals, but my passions lie elsewhere... exactly where that is though, I'm not quite sure. I guess I would really like to do everything all at once. At the moment I'm sticking with the things that make me happy.
Well, that's about it for my bio. There's plenty of other stuff to have a look at. Have fun!
