ILUDEntr: Entry of field data
This module enables the entry of field data in the database. Screen layout
is identical to the field data sheet.
It is possible, to enter data as well as to correct data.
ILUDProc: Processing of field data
Main function of this module is the process and calculation of all
land use observation points for each mapping unit.
Additionally, it can pre-process ('convert') field data with
their classification, in order to re-group or to re-classify them.
And, it can import data of points, which have been digitized and
are saved in a LU__DG file.
ILUDList: Listing of field data
This module lists field data (land use observation points), which have
been entered in the DBMS
(with ILUDArc). The can be displayed, printed or transferred to a file
in their entity or after selecting specific observation points.
Additionally, it can create correlation matrix (land use polygons vs.
land use observation points).
And, it can transfer coordinates of points to GIS for display at the map
(followed by ILUDImp).
And, it can produce a write-up of land use descriptions.
ILUDUtil: Utilities for DBMS data
This module handles a number of utilities, repair, data dictionary tools:
Backup of data - Merging of annual data to an 'all years' file - Checking of
data with quality control checks (10 format data integrity checks) - Fixing
of data (when old file structures are being used, or with corrupt index files)
- Listing of data dictionaries: Land use, land use classifications, BPS administrative
codes - Conversion of coordinates.
ILUDArc: Arc entry
This module enables the digitizing of arcs for line and polygon maps.
It is possible, to set up a new coverage, to digitize arcs and to edit
arcs. If an edited coverage is in lat/long, it automatically converts it
first to UTM. Backcoverages can be copied to the editing coverage.
For polygon coverages, polygon topology is created; for line coverages,
line topology. Checking of label errors, node errors and of lines, which
are not polygon boundaries is made.
ILUDLab: Labeling of polygons and link to DBMS data
Two functions of this module:
a) Assignment of polygons to interpretation codes, or classes ('labeling')
is done specifically to the type of map: For land use maps, the interpretation
code is entered, for slope maps the slope class, for altitude maps the altitude
class etc.
b) After labeling, the labels are linked with the DBMS for full information
for each polygon. This is in the case of land use the
file LUppPAyy, created by
ILUDProc. In all other cases, data files ILUDLAB?
are linked in.
Both functions can be run separately.
ILUDCon: Conversion between different projections
Conversion between UTM, latitude/longitude, and digitizing units can be
performed. Correct UTM zone is calculated, topology is maintained (re-
assessed).
ILUDPlt: Plotting
Land use and non-land use maps can be plotted on large-size plotters.
Option is given to include (or exclude) topographic features, such as
roads, rivers, administrative boundaries etc. Beside plotters, maps can
be printed on laser printer, color pinter, transferred to bitmap format
(2 approaches, see How to transfer maps to bitmap format).
A large number of error checking and quality control assurances are made:
A map which has been plotted with this routine, is guaranteed for clean
formal data integrity.
All map marginalia (cover page, location maps, scale bar, impressum etc.)
are done automatically.
Supported plot scales are 1:25000, 50000, 100000, 250000, with intermediate scales
if plotting by administrative bases is requested, up to size of A0.
ILUDUtl: Utilities for GIS data
Multi-function kit for GIS data:
Maps can automatically be joined, when selecting a smaller scale.
Maps can be clipped and outer areas will be deleted, which are outside
the national grid frame.
Re-print of plots, which have been previously prepared with
ILUDPlt is possible, at various sizes, from A1
till A4, as well as on printers.
Maps can be copied for backup, including all existing maps of one
map sheet and including the field data in the DBMS.
Maps from other sources with other formats can be transferred to ILUD
format.
Map repair tools are available.
House cleaning is possible to delete leftovers from previous unsuccessful
attempts.
A location tool helps to find the location of a specific map sheet number.
It also shows which map sheets already exist. (Inventory of data).
... and many more utilities ...
ILUDR2V: (GIS) Create GIS coverages from raster (Erdas) images
Raster coverages in the GIS format (standard output of Erdas) are converted
to vector format for handling in ILUD and ArcInfo. Line are smoothened,
topology is built, small units are deleted.
ILUDPoi: Point digitizing
This module enables the digitizing of points: Landmark points (for example,
peaks, water falls, town center, BPN offices, schools etc.) and land use observation
points.
ILUDImp: Import of points to GIS from DBMS
Points which have been 'exported' from the DBMS with
ILUDList - -->GIS, can be imported to a new
coverage in the GIS. Option is given to call this coverage the W coverage
of the map sheet.
ILUDExp: Export of points to DBMS from GIS
Points which have been digitized in the GIS can be 'exported' with either
only their coordinates or with their coordinates + land use at the
point. These data are integrated to the DBMS with
ILUDProc.
ILUDAdm:Create maps on administrative delineation
All data are stored in the national grid system. If users (decision makers,
planners, politicians) request maps for administrative units (for example,
Kabupaten, Kecamatan, Desa) the original maps will be joined to form
a map (land use map or non-land use map) for the requested administrative
area. Outside areas remain white.
These maps can then be plotted with
ILUDPlt.
ILUDSed:Assessment of (legal) land availability
Land availability is assessed, taking the legal framework into consideration.
Input maps are land use, slope, hydrology, altitude, location permits.
(See also
procedures for land use management
planning.
The map can then be plotted with
ILUDPlt.
ILUDKes:Assessment of (physical) land suitability
Land suitability is assessed, using the land evaluation framework with land use
requirement and a system of land characteristics and land qualities. The assessment
is done per 'commodity', which can be a crop or a major land use.
Input maps are land use, slope, hydrology, altitude, location permits.
(See also
procedures for land use management
planning.
The map can then be plotted with
ILUDPlt.
ILUDUnt: Allocation of land for location permits
Allocation of land is possible, if land is available, as assessed with
ILUDSed, and land is suitable, as assessed with
ILUDKes and land has priority from the Government
policy for development.
The assessment
is done per 'commodity', which can be a crop or a major land use.
(See also
procedures for land use management
planning.
The map can then be plotted with
ILUDPlt.
ILUDMon: Monitoring of land use changes
Detection of land use changes is the overlay of recent land use maps
with previous land use maps.
The monitoring map can be plotted with
ILUDPlt.
ILUDRs (GIS) to automate digital processing of remote sensing
This module reads digital scene data, georeferences them, optionally clips the area
according to a map sheet, makes an unsupervised classification, deletes
small units, and prepares a GIS file, which can then
be processed with
ILUDR2v.
