in Vietnam is not accepted in all cities. The information provided here may not be

You may not know how the gay scene is in Vietnam after 20 some
years of closed doors to foreigners. In the early 1990s, a lot of Viet Kieu (
Vietnamese living out of Vietnam) come home to visit families and relatives. Some of
the "older" gay Viet Kieu who came out before 1975 know how to find
"gay" places in Vietnam (i.e., Ngo Duc Ke and Nguyen Hue Blvd.). For the
gay Viet Kieu, they may have some contacts from the past; these contacts usually can help
them. For the "newcomers" hooking up with those who have visited Vietnam
recently will help them in finding "gay" places.
In Vietnam some bars and cafe's are, to some degree, receptive to
gay customers. In fact, some can appear to be very, very gay on certain days of the week.
There are many "gay" places in An Giang,
Binh Dinh, Bac Thai, Binh Thuan, Ben Tre, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Cao Bang, Can Tho, Dac Lac,
Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Gia lai, Ha Giang, Hai Phong, Ha
Noi, Ha Bac, Hoa Binh, Ho Chi Minh City,
Hai Hung, Ha Tay, Ha Tinh, Kien Giang, Khanh Hoa, Kontum, Lai Chau, Long An, Lao Cai, Lam
Dong, Lang Son, Minh Hai, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Nam Ha, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Quang Binh,
Quanh Nam-Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quanh Ninh, Quang Tri, Song Be, Son La, Soc Trang, Tien
Giang, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Tay Ninh, Tuyen Quang, Thua Thien-Hue, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long,
Vinh Phu, Yen Ba. But you have to know exactly where and what to look
for. Before you go, try hooking up with those that have gone before to get detail
information.

river. Gay scene in this area had been found sine 95-96. Many Vietnamese lesbians and gays
can be found here. Weekend and evening are very active.

place for local boy hang out. Some of places are not safe, I have seen Cong An (Polices)
arrested 2 local boys cruising on Nguyen Binh Khiem Street at Thao Cam Vien park
last year (97) and did not understand the reason why?. For your own safety, stay away
from place that you think is not safe for Foreigners or Viet Kieu. Your
conservative behavior may help you stay out of trouble .
