This is coming soon! Honest!

Well, I waited two weeks to write about the con. Sheesh. Last time I wrote one of these it was magnificent. This time.. my memory stinks.

The subjects:

The Dance. The number one thing I was most concerned about was Saturday night's late night dance. I am a DJ who does a college radio show on a weekly basis for about two hours, and I work at a record store. Music to me is a big deal. So I get to spin four hours of techno and anime music Saturday night, the BIG dance night. I haven't performed in front of a crowd for ... two years. SO much fear is in my head for the first two days of the convention. I get a lot of relief when I find out that the sound system does in fact work on Friday night. I warn the guys not to use the fog machine, as the thing might set off the convention center's fire alarms.
I'm a real Cassandra, right?
In the first seconds of the first AMV showing, my fears become manifest when the fire alarm goes off. I curse angstfully, and wonder if it's really the cause I think it is. When I find out that evening that my suspicions were right.. I feel not much better. But anyway, it's time to watch my music videos as well as the others?

Suffice to say, my video is far outdone by the "My Hero" pastiche and the Golden Boy "Bicycle Race" video. DAMN! I love that GB video. It WAS ten times better than my own one, despite the fact that it, like my own, had hardly no editing. (Well, my video had major audio editing, since I remixed the track for the video, but that's neither here nor there). I made the contest tape, however, and THAT was an accomplishment in and of itself.
