The Hierarchy of Mazoku

The Mazoku are the main villans in the Slayers series ("Ma" meaning demon and "Zoku" meaing race or clan.) The creator of the 4 dark lords is The Lord of Nightmares or L.O.N. In the Slayers Dimention there are 4 Universes that exist on seperate planes. In each dimention the Lord of Nightmares created a god that is good (A Holy Dragon) to preserve order and protect the dimention and a god that is evil (A Mazoku) to destroy the world and return it to a sea of chaos. These gods are equally powerful and compete constantly. The Lord of Nightmares is neutral and watches the battles. In Lina's dimention L.O.N. created the Holy Dragon Ceified and the Mazoku Ruby Eye Sabaranigudu (Shabranigdo) to fight. In the universe that the anime Lost Universe takes place in L.O.N. created the Holy Dragon Volfied and the Mazoku Dark Star to do battle. The 4 Dark lords that the Lord of Nightmares created are: Ruby Eye Sabaranigudu, Chaotic Blue, Death Fog, and Dark Star. Each of these Dark lords exists in a different dimention. Under each Dark Lord there are 5 servants. Each of the servants has a priest and a general under them. This page is dedicated to the 5 servants of Sabaranigudu. All of them are evil and serve there master dutifully. (Most of the time ^_^) Not all of them have appeared in The Slayers anime so some of this info comes from the Slayers novels.



Chaos Dragon Gaav:

Maryu-ou (Demon Dragon King)

Gaav fought against the holy dragons in the War of the Monster's Resurection 1000 years ago. During his duel with the Water Dragon he was killed. Gaav's soul then reappeared in a human body. As a result of this he now rebels against Sabaranigudu because of his treatment. Gaav first shows up in Slayers Next to kill Lina because he heard that the Hellmaster wants to use Lina for something. So he figures the perfect way to screw up the Hellmaster's plans is to take care of Lina. He posseses the ability to morph into a dragon. Gaav is the creater of the black magic spell "Gaav Flare" and whenever it is cast his power is tapped into. His General is Rashaat, and his Priest is Raltark. (They don't appear in the anime.) Gaav carries a big sword around with him and wears a beige trench coat.







Greater Beast Xellass Metallium:

Juu-ou (Beast King)

Xellass is blonde and is also a heavy smoker and drinker. She is rumored to be the youngest dark general. She supposedly lives on Wolf pack island. (Which isn't on any maps.) Her demon form is a large unfeminine beast. (That has a wolf head, eagle wings, sharp claws, and wears a robe and a breast plate.) Xellass can also turn into a wolf anytime she wants. She wears bangle bracelets on her wrists and ankles, She also likes to wear short skirts and heels. Xellass is supposedly Luna Inverse's best friend. She combined her general and priest into one person.









Hell Master:

Mei-ou (Underworld King)

The Hellmaster is very powerful and is the leader of the 5. (He's also the strongest.) One of his most devastating attacks consists of breaking small balls that represent people. If a ball that is represented by you is broken you die. His priest and general were killed in the War of the Monster's Resurection 1000 years ago. He shows up in Slayers NEXT doing everything in his power to get Lina to cast the Giga Slave.











Dynast Grausherra:

Ha-ou (Supreme King)

Hardly anything is known about Dynast. He has black hair and likes to take the form of a young man no older then Zelgadiss. His general is Sherra, a young blue haired girl she came in in the novels but was killed off. ^_^ He also has two priests under him named Grau and Grou. Dynast lives in the north pole, and is rumored to be the smartest and most ruthless of the Dark generals. His mazoku form is a big shadowy blob. Dynast himself hasn't appeared in the novels yet only his servants he's supposed to be very cold and dignified. Dynast lives in the north pole.









Deep Sea Dolphin:

Kai-ou (Ocean King)

NOTHING is known about her except she's female, lives in the Demon's Sea, and has blue hair. ^_^ Xellass and Deep Sea supposedly despise each other. She is supposedly insane with Xellass responsible. Deep Sea has no known servants.
