Born Vincent LaSoul, Vincent lead a life less desired. His father was killed by a mugger while he was 12, which left Vincent entering adulthood without a rolemodel, and a thirst for revenge. He joined a gang shortly after in hopes to avenge his father, but was force to leave that life when his mother became ill.
He stayed with her for 2 years until her passing, leaving him with no one to call family, his sould seemed broken, and his thirst for vengence had changed into depression. He left for the City of Lunair, a land as far away from home as he could get.
As a young adult now, Vincent went to work for a security company at a government lab. He worked hard to keep a low profile, not wanting to draw any attention to himself, he was becoming a bit of a shut in. An incident in the lab on the other hand changed that. A terrorist attack took the lives of several gaurds, as well as a scientist. Vincent hid as best he could from the threat, until he spied a peculier necklace around the throat of the groups leader. It was a family heirloom that his father had always worn until the night of his execution.
Filled with rage and the fires of vengence Vincent took action, and slaughtered the group slowly, from the shadows. The hostages described him to the papers as "death from the shadows"
Becuase of his heroics, and for PR reasons, the government recruited Vincent as a special bodyguard for a secret lab assignment. There he met and fell in love with a beautyful young lab assistant named Rei. Unfortunatly She was engaged to the stations top scientist, a man named Murasamune, who seemed to loath Vincent for his friendship with her, though he never caught on to the small afair they had together.
Things seemed routine at the lab, until Vincent overheard a conversation between an unknown agent and Murasamune, discussing a genetic formula to increase healing rates in humans to unnatural rates. He also hears that Rei is named as the guinea pig for his experiments. Vincent is caught by the agent when they found him trying to excape to warn Rei. He was thrown in a celler room lab. They filed his papers shortly after as going awol, and returning home to his family. The claimed to not persue charges, due to his prior sercive record and nobel needs. No one seemed to notice, as he was never very personal, except Rei. Rei knew his families tragedy, and suspected foul play, but never from Murasamune.
Rei and Murasamune wed, and had a child, Sarah. Meanwhile Murasamune used Vincent to test new formulas on Vincent, and though many had desirable effects, none were completly successful. Enraged that Vincent was and inferior specimen he turned his work back to his original guinea pig, Rei.
Rei was used for 2 weeks straight, until a bad sample caused reverse results in her, and she slowly bled to death internally. Murasamune did nothing as She died calling Vincents name as she suffered for hours, while vincent lied in the room next to her, unable to save the only person he ever cared for.
Murasamune was enraged, and blamed vincent for her death. He spent the next month using every combination of torture he could find to test his experiments, until he finally killed him in a fit of rage.
