Vincent woke in a confused stupor, (and under 10 feet of rocky soil) remembering little at first but his thirst for revenge on the man that killed him and his love, but it wasnt long before he discovered the man had already been killed by an assasin not less then a year before. His rage grew even more as he seeked out the one who took away his revenge, and came to find not only the assasin, but the reason murasamune let Rei die. His assain was Rei's daughter Sarah, and she bore striking resemblence to her mother, but around her neck she had his pendent, as well as his eyes.
Vincent spent the next few years with her, she taught him many skills as an assasin, Becuase of his unnatural body, and his taste for the darkness, he bacame unstopable at the job.
As with the rest of his life, things soon changed, Sarah left his side to join a man she fell in love with who went by the name of slayer. But when news reached him later that she died at his hands, His spark for death rekindled and he went into action.
Hard pressed for information on the man slayer, Vincent joined a cult dedicated to a demon overlord named Chaos. But upon his promise to surrender his soul to the demon for unnatural power, he was told his soul already belonged to satan, as a promise in return to rise again for his revenge. Feeling his choices limited, and his life already in the hands of a spiral of death, he offered his body as a sign of his loyalty. He was granted his wish, but recieved no powers or favor in return, only a promise, that when they found what he sought, they would aid him in his vengece.
In time Vincent rose in rank as an assasin, until he was there lead assasin. but his innability to show his loyalty with his soul kept him from gaining any recognition, and kept them from helping his quest. Until his quest struck home. Slayer was a paladin of the highest order, working directly from the council of elders. His seconed in command was a necromancer named Larrin, who once belonged to the cult until he seemed to find it difficult to live without his soul. He was back to reclaim it.
Vincent never got his chance at revenge, Larrin killed him before he was able to reach his goal. Slayer summoned the Demon lord Chaos, and destroyed his physical body. Fearing total defeat, Chaos hides his spirit in his strongest warrior, to return when the time was right.
Back again from the grave, Vincent seemed to harvest new instincts that brought him quickly to his daughters killer. And in the cover of darkness he silently brought Larrin and SLayers other followers to there knee's before challenging Slayer directly, his life or there's, victor takes all. They fought long, and hard. Vincent to quick to hit, Slayer to strong to take down. Eventualy vincent brought slayer to his knee's and demanded to know why she died. Slayer told him the storey, of how she had been used by the same cult of chaos, and that she died to save his life, and her soul. she died at his hands by her will, and not at the hands of a murderer. He decided to join slayer and fight his real enemy, the Cult of Choas. The cult was prepared, but they were still slaughtered to the man, though vincent lost himself in the heat of battle and blacked out until it was over. When he awoke Slayer told him that he was stabbed through the heart, but rose again to fight like a demon. He warned him that the evil he seeks to remove may be closer then he thinks.
Unable to shake the grasp of evil in his heart, Vincent left Slayer, in hopes to discover who he really was, and live a quite life away from this world.
