TENCHU

WOW, What can you say... WOW!!!

OVERALL: 9.5

This game is very good, I have to say that I haven't played far, but it is good. It is a cross between Tombraider and Bushido Blade... of course don't expect huge caves and such like Tomb Raider had... the stages are smaller - I'm told you have 10 missions - I guess it can come close to Tomb Raider with 10 missions - as far as "Area cavered" is concerned. You choose between a male or female, both are cool. The game has it's handling problems like other reviews may have mentioned, but it seems the game is cool enough that everyone agrees that they are minor... hopefully there will be another and these problems will be fixed.

GRAPHICS: 9.5

Not a 10, the graphics themselves are beautiful... but there is the occasional glitching of the backgrounds - alot of polygons usually means less stable polygons. Characters look very good and their movements look great.

GAMEPLAY: 9

Here is a mixed bag... the movement and abilities are cool, but the camera angle and approaches are difficult - It is cool to attack someone from up above, but it is hard to see them and know when to jump - if you want to do it you will need to practice a lot - I still don't know if you can seriously connect when jumping on someone from the roof - to do a kill. Other than that the character seems to move properly - the enemies are a little dumb and clumsy, but I'm sure some of it has to do with going easy on the player.

SOUND: 10+

WOW!!! Can't say a single bad thing here... it is great. The music during the game doesn't distract at all - very well done.

CONCEPT: 10

I love this game - and I'm sure many will agree - just for it's whole concept... kinda like how everyone loved the idea of Tomb Raider. If they make another they should add a run button, so you can really sneak up on people - it almost seems you can walk a half a block from behind someone and they won't know you are coming, but if there were a run button - it would seem more understandable that you can take them by surprise.
