Intresting Tidbits: I've heard this series called both "No Need for Tenchi" and "Heaven and Earth"
OK, I'll admit it when i first started watching this series, I didn't think it was very good... I renamed it Tenchi, the Twit. But I kept watching it for the cabbit (meeowww). The last two episodes blew everything I had seen previously away though. (Episodes 5 & 6: Kagato attacks,and We Need Tenchi) I honestly think that it's worth collecting for those two episodes!! Tenchi got a clue and powerful... questions got answered, the cabbit transformed, Tenchi did the right thing! I loved it!

There are two Tenchi series that I know of: the TV series: Tenchi Universe (as far as i understand it its a shorter/quicker version of Ryo-Ohki with some changes.), and the OAV: Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki.

What I've seen so far of Tenchi Muyo Ryo-Ohki:
1. Ryoko Resurrected: Tenchi goes against his grandfather's wishes and enters the old shrine, therein he acts like a twit freeing a "demon" which wishes to exact her revenge for centuries of imprisionment.

2. Ayeka Arrives: Ayeka searching for her brother Yosho, picks up a signal that is identified as Ryoko. Ayeka shows up on Earth to capture Ryoko and captures Tenchi too. While Ayeka is questioning Ryoko, Sasami, Ayeka's little sister, frees Tenchi. Chaos ensues

3. Hello Ryo-Ohki!: Now Tenchi is living near his grandfather's shrine with three girls! Ryoko, Sasami, and Ayeka. The cabbit, Ryo-ohki, hatches from an egg. It is very, very very CUTE.

4. Mihoshi Falls to The Land of The Stars: Everyone goes to the hot springs for a relaxing vacation where Tenchi's dad gets to play peeping tom, Ryoko and Ayeka squabble, Tenchi gets numerous nosebleeds from seeing too much of the girls! and Mihoshi, galaxy police detective, falls right into Tenchi's arms... literally!

5. Kagato Arrives: Kagato is searching for the ultimate power in the Universe...does Tenchi's group have it?? He kidnaps Ryoko claiming she is his creation. I won't go further into the episode...its just too good, you'll have to see it yourself.

6. We Need Tenchi: Tenchi and the others mount a full rescue mission to save Ryoko. GOOD EPISODE.

Tenchi The Movie: Tenchi in Love: Tenchi and the group go back in time to save Tenchi's mother who is slowly disappearing in the form of movies and pictures. Tenchi never got to know his mother because she died when he was very young, but upon seeing her, knows he loves her very much. He finally comes to terms with forgiving her for leaving him alone when he was so young.
