Kakyou's sorrow lies in his inability to prevent the
death of Hokuto (and later also that of Kotori). On one hand, he was
content in his dreams that he may recall the short sweetness he had
with those who are already dead; but on the other hand, he seek for
his death so that he could end his inertness. Loneliness may drive one
to seclusion, but there are always some poor souls who would run into
the arms of anyone else that occur in their lives. We can only hope
that Kakyou may not pick a wrong path out of the limited choices he
has.
