A Ghostly Presence

Lavender Town. 11:00 PM. A young Pokémon trainer finally reaches Lavender after a long walk from Fuschia. Happy to be here, he starts walking towards the hotel. Suddenly, he hears a small "haw haw haw." He looks around, seeing nothing. He continues on, and hears it again. "Haw haw haw."

"Who's there?" the kid cautiosly asks. The sound appears from all over. The kid looks everywhere, then starts running. The sounds appear from all over. The kid finds himself in a dead end. He turns around and sees the biggest Haunter in his life swooping down on him. A loud scream runs through the town. Then, all is quiet.

In the Pokémon Volunteer House, Mr.Fuji suddenly sits straight up. A feeling runs through him, one that has not appeared for a long time. "It has returned," he says softly.

---Next Morning---

"Anyone have any ideas what happened here?" asks Officer Jenny as some people carry away a body bag. Inside is the young Pokémon Trainer.

"I have no idea. According to his Pokédex, this Trainer came from Fuschia. He goes by the name of Josh Anders, and that's all we know."

"This is weird. A loud scream pierces the night, then someone finds this body. It's the third one this week."

"He has fallen prey to the Black Fog," a voice says. Jenny whirls around and sees Mr. Fuji.

"The what?"
