Into Lavendar

It had been a long journey, but John finally entered Lavender. He knew somewhere the Black Fog waited for a chance for revenge on one of the three that had banished him to the netherworld, hoping that he'll never return. Unfortunately, the fates deemed that they'll never be free of the cursed Haunter. John looked at the sun. It was almost set. The Black Fog would soon be roaming the streets, hoping for a new victim to enter his grasp.

John raced into town, stopping at Mr. Fuji's Volunteer House. He called back Rapidash and traded it for Chaz, then entered. Inside, he saw Mr. Fuji and Sabrina, the other two that brought about the Black Fog's demise. "So it's official?" John asked. Mr.Fuji simply nodded. Sabrina spoke up.

"I'm afraid so. The bluish skin, the empty, lifeless eyes- all the signs of the Fog's soul stealing Dream eater attack."

"Has the Fog taken any other victims?"

"Yes. An Abra and one of Mr. Fuji's volunteers. It wants revenge on us, nothing more. Another thing, it's gotten stronger. I tried using Kadabra last night, but the Fog was able to shrug off its attacks. Luckily, my teleportation skills allowed us to escape, or we'd be like Josh right now."

"Have you any ideas how to counteract this development?"

"As a matter of fact, we have. See this sword?" She guestered toward the blade on the table. "It has been blessed by Mr. Fuji and can come in contact with the Fog. You can use this to weaken the creature and allow us to send it back across the Ethereal Plane, this time for good." John took the sword and tried to slide his finger across the blade. To his surprise, the blade was impossible to touch.

"That's the other thing. The sword can only be used on the Fog, as well as other spirts, so it will be useless against Team Rocket and other swordsmen." John took off his backpack then put on the sheathe of the sword, and tried a few practice swings, so he can get the feel of the weapon. Sabrina walked in range of the sword, but it passed through as if she wasn't there.

"Thank you, Sabrina. With this weapon, and help from my Pokémon, I might stand a chance against the Black Fog. I only hope my friends are doing okay."

Sabrina closed her eyes. "I see Jamie and Pipian where you left them. However, Tiki is still at the Power Plant, and Score has gone to Fuschia for reasons unknown. As for Orion and Keri, I cannot sense them right now."

John raised one eyebrow. "Err, thanks." With his weapon slung around his back, and Ariel at his side, John left the house and started his search for the Black Fog. As he left, a volunteer asked, "Do you think John has a chance, Mr. Fuji?"

Mr. Fuji said yes to calm his student, but a strange look in his eye could tell a person he seriously doubted it.
